  1. THIS IS FUCKING MADDENING!!!!!!!!!!! It's like fucking watching a High school game! And not Archbishop McCarthy! This is like fucking watching Northwestern!
  2. It's just always been that way for some reason...BUT....Now Stanton is gonna earn every cent of that contract right here!
  3. Lmao! Dee Gordon was hovering! He almost ended up in left field on that slide!
  4. Why the fuck can't that be the norm?
  5. This season has kind of been like getting stood up at the altar. Like bitch, I told all my family and friends how great this was gonna be, and you made me look like a complete idiot!
  6. Honestly, bringing Cishek in in that situation proved two things to me. Either Jennings is worse than I thought, or they were purposely trying to pull some ego boost/cheer up bullshit, and It pisses me off. I haven't followed the last couple of games so I'm not fully aware what the condition of our bullpen is (in terms of overuse), but there had to be other options. Fuck this. Never thought I'd be turning off the marlins game to read a physics textbook. Thanks Marlins lol
  7. God damn it, that was a beautiful game. But I'm starting to worry about what they're gonna do with Prado when Yelich comes back. I feel like he's really taken off in the two hole and don't really like to mess with what is working. But then again, he's pro enough to keep it up further down in the lineup. But yeah, great fucking game, and I would have to give FOTG to prado for sure, with Dee a very close second.
  8. Luis Castillo-2B Edgar Renteria-SS Gary Sheffield-RF Miguel Cabrera-LF Mike Piazza-C Mike Lowell-3B Darren Daulton-1B Juan Pierre-CF Kevin Brown-pitcher Naw bro! D Lee over Daulton for sure!
  9. Not sure if someone posted this, but made me sad. Canada, you free tonight? I need a pal lol Casey McGehee hoped for a longer tenure with Miami Marlins It's pretty much exactly as I said earlier, he's going home to play on a team that has won 3 WS in the last 5 years. This is a great thing for him.
  10. I say why not? Though our grooming policy would probably wipe out any chance of that magic reappearing.
  11. I feel like the team chemistry suffered. Prado seems like a boring infante kind of guy. Dude, I'm not opposed to chemistry playing a role because teams with poor chemistry have shown how bad that side of it can be...but chemistry also comes from winning. As long as Prado isn't an asshole, team chemistry will be fine because we're better now. It's not like these guys are gonna sulk and play like shit because Casey is gone. If anything I'd argue that Casey is gonna call and text his teammates and tell them to go win a championship for him or something like that because he's that good of a guy. Casey did his part here, we'll be both fine and better because of his time here and because of his departure as well. Definitely! Plus, Casey was born and raised and even played college ball in CA. So he's going to a really awesome organization, that is luckily very good at the moment, in his home state. His spirits have gotta be pretty high considering how many times he has emphasized how two years ago he genuinely never thought he was going to play in the big leagues again. His teammates i'm sure know this is a good thing for him and they will keep strong. God I miss playing organized baseball lmao
  12. I feel like the team chemistry suffered. Prado seems like a boring infante kind of guy. No way man, I'm a huge braves fan (handed down to me from my dad lol). He's one of those gritty, "let's do this shit" kind of guys-think more like uggla. Not exactly like him, but more that mold than infante for sure. Omar was an android. Love him, but totally devoid of emotion lol.
  13. I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on someone like Carlos Peguero. The royals just relased him. He has absolutely raked in the minor leagues, and now he has a couple years under his belt since his last real attempt at the bigs (2011). He probably ends up being terrible, but I feel he's a good chance to take and at the very least is good power depth in the minors especially after losing jensen. This is in response the need for a lefty bat and an outfielder for the bench. He could potentially fit both needs.
  14. stupid Rosenthal had me excited about Duffy. Someone steal his bow ties and replace them with club crackers. That'll teach him.
  15. Juan C. Rodriguez @JCRMarlinsbeat Flores SP at high-A (4-6, 4.09, 32 BB, 112 K in 105.2 innings); Castillo low-A RP (2-2, 3.07, 25 BB, 66 K in 58.2 inn.) #Marlins Meh, this was a salary move so w/e lol Hopefully we use the savings to put a fucking Flanigans in right field. Why do you hate tacos? . What? lol Isn't there a taco place out in right? . Bro I came up to Gainesville in the Spring of '12 (FML) So I've only had the chance to go to 5 games and always behind home. Sadly, I'm not too caught up on all the restaurants. But my thought process was that if Stanton had some Dolphin fingers waiting for him before each inning he might go straight beefcake like Solano. Plus he could give some to Yeli, that boy is pencil thin.

  17. Damn why not just keep Casey then? Because then he becomes a 3 million dollar bench bat. He's not worth that IMO because I do not feel he would be the type to produce much in that capacity.

  19. Best offseason in Marlins history? The feeling I felt during the 2012 offseason was something I'll probably never feel again. I really thought it was the beginning of a new era. That went to shit lol. But from a baseball perspective, yes, this is the best. We actually cast a wide net and addressed a bunch of holes (not all, but most). So definitely the most effective offseason. 2012 was always overrated to me. Jose Reyes was good, but besides that they got a third starter (Buerhle) and overpaid a closer (Bell). It wasn't that good. And then of course, Loria sold it off as 'starting over because it wasn't working,' which can be translated as 'starting over because I'd rather not spend this much and I'm impatient' For sure. This is why I said this one was better because we actually addressed multiple issues, not just one bat, one pitcher on a team that clearly needed MUCH more. Not to mention giving almost 10 mill a season to that fat nerd was something I hated from the start, but I took it as a step in the right direction towards becoming a normal spending team.
  20. I was incorrect on payroll earlier - sans McGehee they're at 66 mil (not counting $ from other teams) At this point I think we should either stay put or extend at least 1 or 2 of our guys.

That went to shit lol. But from a baseball perspective, yes, this is the best. We actually cast a wide net and addressed a bunch of holes (not all, but most). So definitely the most effective offseason. What holes are left? Catcher. *shrug* And to some people, short. I guess "holes" was the wrong word. But i'm with Bender pretty much. Those spots are a little weak. Plus, other than sizemore, we haven't really addressed our bench which is pretty shitty. But there's still plenty of time to do that so we'll see. Edit: Not complaining at all, I love the moves so far! I think we can compete for the division if the nats mets and braves are anything but 100% this year. I did say we addressed MOST of our issues. Like 9/10 lol
  22. Plugging in payroll numbers and I just realized how good the lineup looks. Gordon Yelich Stanton Morse Ozuna Prado Salty Hech or bat Prado 2nd and move everyone down a spot, whatever. that is actually pretty damn solid. I would be all for plugging Martin in the 2 spot, but Red already made it clear he wants John Carlos (Inside joke after I heard some guy call him that in spring training) to come up in the first inning cause he feels it gives us a better chance of putting up some runs early.

  24. Best offseason in Marlins history? Not according to this person on Instagram image.jpg No permission to view Try now I'm tempted to say you Photoshopped that...I find it hard to believe that someone would be that dumb. Then again, it's Miami. That person's probably trolling. I refuse to believe a human can be that dense. After I looked at the Image and saw the typical troll misspells, I came to that same conclusion lol.
