OMG teh white sokcs are my favorite!!!!!!
The White Sox will still go back home to their city where they dont even have the majority of the fans. Now that is pwnage. What is pwnage is what they did to the Red Sox in the 1st round. And what they did to the Indians in the last three games of the season...of the Indians' season, that is.

Ozzie Guillen = Class
Lou Piniella is class. Would you rather have him and last place or Guillen and the best record in the AL? That's what I thought. Guillen can do or say whatever he wants. His team wins 99 games and no one will get the hell off his back. He's taken crap ever since the Sox lost it in about August of 2004. It went away, then it started to come back as soon as the lead was down to about 6. Do you have any idea how relieved he was that it was Cleveland choking and not us? Until you've managed a team from a 15 game lead to a 1.5 game lead and then back up to 6, leave him alone. And oh yeah, he is the reason the Sox have the kind of team they have. If he weren't, then why did it take until he got here for the philosophy to change? He's a human being not a god.

Buehrle Throws Cubs Under Bus
I don't see what Hurt has to do with anything... I don't think there are many people on here who argue with the career he has had... atleast not me. 816576 I suppose the bottom line is that this seems to be bothering cubs fans more than it's bothering Maddux. If he doesn't care, why should they? Then they talk about how Sox fans are so "immature." If you can't ignore someone who's immature then you yourself are just as immature. Plain and simple. Maddux ignored Buehrle's comment. I suggest Cubs fans follow suit, as the Cubs themselves won't be putting any money where their collective mouth is come next weekend. I only wish Buehrle were pitching against them...

Buehrle Throws Cubs Under Bus
Everyone seems to want to defend Maddux because he's a future hall-of-famer, and yet these are the same mediots who will rip into Frank Thomas any chance they get. Therefore, I see these people as hypocrites. (For those of you who are ignorant enough to argue that Thomas is not a hall-of-famer, his career numbers are among the top 10 White Sox players in nearly every offensive category you can imagine outside of triples and stolen bases; he ranks #1 all time for the White Sox in: on base %, slugging %, OPS, total bases, doubles, HR, RBI, BB, and extra-base hits. Luke Appling, a hall-of-famer himself, is second place or lower in all of these categories.) As far as Buehrle is concerned, he can say whatever the hell he wants as long as he keeps pitching his ass off.

Sheffield to the Cubs?
That is a pretty bold statement and it would be a pretty interesting to see what Sheffield could do in a Cubs' uniform. I know what he couldn't do, and that's close. Sheffield is not what the Cubs need. They need bullpen help. Here's to hoping they don't get it. :shifty :lol

WHAT A SHOT!
I hate the Red Sox. This is off-topic, but I fail to understand the logic of a non-retractable dome stadium in South Florida. It's too hot?? B.S. No wonder the D-Rays have no fans.

Twins-Tigers Snowed Out
It reached 89 degrees here today. :plain 752966 That's nothing--you're in Florida. Last week it reached 83 degrees--in Detroit.

Kerry Wood Could Be Traded
I don't think the Rays would do this simply because they have placed such a high value on Baez (correct or incorrect) that nothing short of a super-stud pitching prospect will get them to move Baez. When the Mets inquired, they were told that the negotiations begin with Yusmero Petit...that's pretty steep if you ask me. Maybe Huff for Wood straight-up, but not Huff and Baez. 742228 The Cubs wouldn't do it unless they got someone who could close games. The fact that this is Moronotti talking means you need to take it with a grain of salt. "LOOK AT ME!!!"

Maggs out 2 Months
I am happier and happier every day that the Sox didn't get stuck with this guy again. At least we knew we weren't going to have his bat in 2005 giving us the chance to give someone else (hernandez, dye, pierzynski, etc.) his salary. Not so for Detroit. If they were in any other division I would feel sorry for them, but this means we get to face them about 6 times without him.

D-Train, the Cub who got away is back in 2003 form
I love that D-Train is doing well...if only I could remember to put him in my fantasy lineup. If it wasn't for the Sox great start this year I'd be out on a ledge somewhere after inadvertently leaving him on the bench for BOTH of his complete games. You'd think I would've learned after the first time.

Buehrle splendid in shutting down Mariners
'Atta boy Mark!

My Most Recent Creation:
There is no such thing as a curse--one of the reasons we hate the Cubs. They'll blame their futility on a goat, a fan, a baseball, anything but their players. Last year they blew up the Bartman ball. That didn't work, so they marinated it and sold it as an entree. Sox fans blame no one but the Sox, which is the way it should be. That's not to say we're not loyal and we don't get excited when it looks like we may have a chance to win...we're just disgruntled.

Shingo Takatsu-- pitches
Can you let us know the other pitches he usually throws? 717015 Sorry... a couple days late on this. He has a fastball that I've seen get up to around 88, but it looks like 110 after the frisbee. He also has a sinker and a slider.
