1. Keep the updates coming. I'm out of the country and can't access the webcast due to my slow connection. Thanks a lot. Are we looking good so far? How long will this go?
2. As of midnight the percentages are 56 and 42 (to our favor). Great job guys.
3. Not sure if this has been posted. I just voted ... we are ahead 60/40. http://www.miamidade.gov/district11/home.asp
4. Hey guys (and gals)! Take a look at http://digg.com/baseball/Brewers_Oust_Mets_in_Wild_Card_Race and make sure to comment. I had to clarify a few things for the Digg crowd (which is mostly out of touch with sports). My username there is homelinux ... You can probably tell after reading the comments. Cheers.
5. Cody's walkoff all the way. You can re-live the excitement with just a click http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200806072866154
6. Let's not forget "Run Joe, Run" ... around third "Run, Jor, Run" ... BALL GAAAME!! Don't recall who was hitting, but Joe Dillon scored all the way from first base. Yesterday's walk-off was good too ... something around the line "Walk me off ... again". Rich also said "What a game! What a team!". On Ross' walk-off against the Reds, Tommy was making weird noises, I don't even know how to put it into words.
7. Definitely Cody's walk-off HR. I was sitting in the outfield with 6 friends (4 had never been to a Marlins game before). Everyone walked away very pleased and lucky to had been part of the best baseball game I've been to (not only this season). As it turns out, my gf has a crush on Cody .. to be fair, this had been happening for months, so now she is madly in love with him. Oh well!!!! About the cowbell, at some point in the game mine got away and landed in someone's head (hope it had been a Red's fan, but it wasn't).
8. Where's everybody? Go Marlins !!
9. JAKE IS DA MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10. Go Jake !!!
11. Olsen better gives us a 1-2-3 inning
12. C'mon Danny, snap out of it. C'mon Danny, snap out of it.
13. Time to get some of those runs back.
14. This inning is taking forever ...
15. I learned about this website one time Admin was interviewed at Dolphin's Stadium. I believe this was back in '03 (don't even remember is if it was Craig M. doing the interview). Since that day I've been "hooked" to the site although it took me some time to sign up and I'm not quite an active poster. Anyways ... Great job, Admin !
16. Excellent questions so far ...
17. I just came across this thread ... I see a bunch of micro$oft fans around here. Anyways, I'm a Linux boy. Currently running Fedora Core 4 (Red Hat). I abandoned windoze 3 years ago and haven't looked back. I ran Win95, Win98, WinME, Win2K, and XP, and I don't miss any of'em. Open Source rules !!
18. I'm a Firefox user (and big supporter of OpenSource software). The page displays perfectly fine for me as long as I don't mess with the font sizes (using Ctrl + to increase it). Same goes with mlb.com Make sure you don't have any extensions that could be causing the problem. I remember something weird happening to me and it went away when I removed all extensions (eventually got the updated versions of all of them and things kept working). Internet Exploder is the crappiest piece of software ever made (Along with some other Micro$oft stuff). Hope it helps !!
19. I'll take the Met fans Anyday over them Cub Fans in 2003 928719 You can say that again! Cubs use to be my favorite second team, but man their fans were such a**holes. Fights everywhere, rude, cursing up a storm with kids nearby. Complete a**holes! They seem so cool in Wrigley field. Are they just as bad in Wrigley? I can't believe we beat them on their field like that. Sweet Revenge! regards, Alex 928744 I went to the Cubs' Game (against the Braves at Wrigley) on August 24. I'm no fan of either team buy happended to be in Chicago for business. Well, the point is that the fans at Wrigley seemed way too quiet. It was a close (and boring) game until the 7th inning when the Braves started putting runs on the board. Since I was sitting right behind the Braves dougout, there were plenty of Braves' fans around me. At least in my section, everything was peaceful throughout the game. The game was a 1.20pm start and the house was packed ($38K I believe), but like I mentioned earlier very little emotion was shown (except when D.Lee came to the plate). Cubs ended-up losing 3-1 (who cares, right??).
20. I just read this in the Game Preview at mlb.com : Quotable "In 2003, they were one of they keys." -- manager Jack McKeon, on the fans at Dolphins Stadium. I don't think we are that bad after all ... :shifty
21. His previous outing (against the Brewers) was very good too, I believe it avoided the sweep. We need Vargas to be stellar tonight to win the series.
22. I'm going to the Cubs-Braves game in Chicago tomorrow (1pm start). It'll be my first time at Wrigley Field. Then the Marlins play in Milwakee at 8pm, I wish I could make it to that game as well. I never thought I'd be rooting for the Cubs, but since they are playing our division leader, I have no choice.
