Allison will be the best Marlin outfielder by August.

It's almost improbable what this team does. The random distribution of the hits gives a better score. Poisson is wrong.

Yesterday: Pirates: 9 hits = 4 runs Marlins: 13 hits = 3 runs Today: Pirates 3 hits = 5 runs Marlins 4 hits = 1 run Miami has a special team.

8 runners on without a hit... just setup a new MLB record.

13 hits, 3 runs. That says all.

Other than whiskey I need something strong to survive these days without Hanley.

Majority wants to trade Hanley. (I am surprised). What a change 12-18 months can make...

It's only a 4-run game. Bell will be fun.

7. That's a lot!

Infante as Stanton. Big mistake from the Cubs staff.

3-0 deserves a like.

What is this? Back to back singles?! Nobody was in scoring position. :banned

Oh, really frustrating, this team tries to show us how to become a really good pain in the...

On a day around 2005 Jack almost killed a closer named Mota on the mound.

All the Leo Nunez Juan Carlos Oviedo love in this thread is quite entertaining. Everything is relative. Generalizations pick interesting points out of the world. Leo Nunez was an environmental and health hazard. Bell is worse rather than better, ergo Nunez was not that bad. This is the birthplace of love you can see.

His first year here he one a WS but yea other then that I kind of agree. Not a lot of progress. Everybody gets lucky once in a while. As far as I remember the 2003 Marlins had an excellent team with the best defensive infield of the league, and a farm system that gave Beckett, Cabrera... and all that was built by Dobrowski.

Wasn't Loria the one who wanted Bell? Yep and its the job of Beinfest, Samson and Hill to talk him out of that crap. Yeah, I don't think they're going to go against what their boss says. If he fires them, and they are worth anything they will find other jobs. If they can't, then it's not a bad thing they are gone. If Loria is such a bad owner that he is that much of a meglomanic then don't expect too much from this franchise unless they just happen to get lucky (like 2003) My brief 2 cents: - Marlins have got a home. Loria built a great stadium. After all he is not that bad owner. - He loves baseball. He's an artist. He has swinging mood and micromanagement attitude. - Samson is the joker face of the franchise but we can do nothing about him. The franchise can hide him. - Beinfest's job is to have Loria's best hand but should filter his ideas. He is the pro face of the franchise. His job was to build a team. Beinfest fails big time: (1) the farm system has become empty and (2) the Marlins, a major league team, has no core you can build on... - They forget to build a team.

Bell is said to be Loria's trade idea. It was as good idea as Leiter was (in 2005?).

Woow. Lohse has great numbers but he has been hit hard by the Marlins.

Only 8.5 games back. We got time to fix that, right? Do you guys think we can still win a wild card? Unlikely but the WC race is not over yet. The division title would get a small flag in the stadium though.

Bell is paid a lot of money to be better than Nunez. He is not better. I'd like to see Oviedo to emerge.

June is over. It was long.

My 1st world FSN TV is still at the end of the 3rd inning. The score is 1-1. MLB TV is quick.

Stanton :hail

I am likely not the only one who expected and still expects no more than +10 wins over the 2011 Marlins (ergo .500 at the best). The attitude of the owner and the FO as well as the core - ie. the DNS of the team - and the farm system is the same. The season is very long though. I may be wrong.
