  1. i think this just shows how hard it will be to sign him next year or give him a contract.. would the marlins really pay someone almost 200 million $$?
  2. VERY interesting read. I was deeply impressed with his work ethic. I remember my freinds were joking with me on how classless Miguel was when they read that article where he said "F**K the veterans." hes come a long way. its probably better around the clubhouse to have younger guys around him than older ones, cuz its not like he needs advice from them on how to hit
  3. and hitting- miggy > wright (obviously)
  4. you guys are C R A Z Y ! how can you say wright is better? miggy has been amazing since 21 years old and wright is doing what he SHOULD be doing in the line up of his and guess what?? miggy is leading him in mostly every stat! theres hype around david cuz he plays in ny, but he hasnt done anything as amazing as cabs. NUFF SAID!
  5. its pretty obvious hes lazy, but you can tell he really wants to win
  6. before i was thinking we really need guys like reggie and willingham to step it up at the plate, but if you think about it we need cabs to do better because hes our best hitter and hes not getting a lot of rbis in the past couple of weeks. uggla and jacobs are more productive than him right now
  7. wow how could they drive taht everyday man its already tough from boca which is practically in broward county Boca to Dolphin Stadium is no more than 35min my best there is 23, coming back is 18 :o no it takes about an hour to get there from boca
  8. i was at the cheesecake factory in boca on sunday night (after the 9-3 win) and i saw girardi there. i also saw his daughter-she was wearing a jersey that said girardi with the number 25, but i think it was a yankee's jersey  . joe must have a house in boca because its an hour away from miami.
  9. a lot of the players cant even speak spanish on the marlins
  10. are there any videos on the internet that will show miggys turns at the hr derby? the repeat on television didnt show the second one, and i missed most of the first one. mlb.com doesnt have all of it either
  11. olsen said in the palmbeach post it was definently his fault, not cabrera's
  12. well they kept on chanting her name...saying that she was hot, and they said they he had an ugly baby.stupid fans in ny... well saying his wife is hot isnt a bad thing & they dont even know what his baby looks like(im sure its cute)... just gotta ignore them but yea that is annoying
  13. no i mean what could they say about his baby? i know they are idiots and would say bad stuff, but would could they possibly said about it?
  14. what kinda bad things could they say about his wife and kid? i mean his kid is still a baby. it would be horrible 2 say bad things about it
  15. a player, who didnt wanna be identified, told the newpapers olsen said some nasty things to cabrera and thats what provoked him and come on, cabs isnt gunna let a rookie run over him like that. when you watch the video, u can tell he was waiting for olsen to come. thats why treanor was sorta blocking him.
  16. yea espn.com has the video
  17. but when they showed the clip for the second time on sunsports, it was miguels fault with the dugout mess. when olsen went inside the dugout, miguel got in his face. and as olsen walked by, miguel "poked" him to start something.
  18. Dimensions at PNC are like this picture advantage: Ortiz & Howard it's a very cool thing & will be fun to watch, but you sure hope that it doesn't mess with his swing. yea that seems like a major advantage for lefties
  19. is it a pitchers park or hitters park?
  20. can someone translate the article
  21. to reach 100 for his career!
  22. keep voting for him, hes finally in the top 5.
  23. but isnt it a bad idea to eat only a little during the day and nothing at night? thats not the right way to diet. you still need the 3 meals.. dinner at night especially
  24. Cabrera shedding weight BY KEVIN BAXTER kbaxter@MiamiHerald.com Miguel Cabrera has fattened his stats by slimming his waistline. The Marlins' third baseman credits better eating habits and work in the gym with helping him shed 10 pounds. ''I'm eating a little during the day and nothing at night,'' he said in Spanish. ``I've been trying not to eat out so much. I'm just eating what's necessary.'' The Marlins' media guide lists Cabrera's weight at 210, but he said he was close to 260 when the season started. He's down to 246 now and says his target weight for the next couple of weeks is 235. ''I feel good,'' he said. Cabrera was noticeably overweight during the World Baseball Classic in the spring and had trouble bending over to pick up ground balls. The Marlins reportedly were concerned when he started slowly in the regular season, hitting four homers and driving in 13 runs in April. Entering the last day of May, however, he was leading the NL in hitting at .346 after batting .364 for the month. He also had a franchise-record 30 RBI in May and is moving better at third base, having cut his errors by a third. ''He's in the weight room every day,'' Marlins manager Joe Girardi said. ``He's a little thinner. And I think he's probably in a little better shape.''
