  12. wow striking out almost 1/3 of the time
  13. I was at the game today, aside from the lack of hitting w/runners in scoring position, our defense didnt help at all, everytime we had a ground ball, heck any ball put in play we'd all collectively hold our breaths, many misplayed plays, and alot of them due to mental errors, some of the doubles they hit today, would've been held to singles if they had tried to get the ball on a hop, but instead they'd go for the circus catch and ended up letting the ball go to the wall. Another bone head play was when there was a runner on second, and the rockies bunted and Messenger tried to go to third, but threw it away, that ended up being the winnig run. How could he do that especially after the rockies had just finished making the same mistake!!!??? Its really painfull to watch these games sometimes, I mean I love these guys, but COME ON, lets stop making the SAME mistakes over and over again, its getting ridiculous already. at least have two time today our outfielder let the ball roll over them, one for Reggie and another for Matt, hold for the single will got the chance for double play but for a double you will lose run in a single .............it's a big different it's inexcusable the amount of times this year they've had a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs and failed to drive him in when all they needed in that case was a sac fly or a ground ball to the right side of the infield, but instead they get strikeouts or weak pop-ups in those situations yes but it took dare i say it REED To dirupt the infield enough for the bases to get loaded AGAIN and put us in a SCORING position THen sac a BUNT AGAIN to get cabbie over Jason didnt do anything different (EXCEPT PUT MORE CHUM IN HIS MOUTH)and hope he would look alright they need to overcome the pressure under that kind of situation................. Vargas has had 5 starts. In 1 he allowed 2 hits in 6 innings. In Chicago(his best game) he allowed 1 hit in 6 innings. The other 3 starts he was lousy. So he's had flashes of very good mixed with the bad. This type of consistent inconsistency is what we can expect all season long from all our pitchers, except Dontrelle. We have nobody else. There's no reason to think that Nolasco, Johnson, etc. would do any better. There's a player here or there that clearly is in way over their head, like Reed, and I'm sure we'll make some minor tweaks with the line-up during the season. But basically, what you see is all we got. It's gonna be a long year. atleast Josh Willingham is turning into a real nice 4 hole hitter Josh is looking very good offensively in the first month, and he gives the impression that things will only get better as he gets more AB's. Maybe this year, maybe not this year, but he looks really good at the plate. In the outfield, every ball hit to him is an adventure. Makes one wonder how you can play ball your whole life, reach the ML level and have great coaching, and still look inept in the field. Maybe he'll get it one day....but probably his future is in the AL as a DH. I think Josh have no problem in the outfield defense,he have only one error until now............. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup
  14. I still think the BULLPEN is the answer the team had a ton o runs in these games and still cant win its not the outfield CRAPPP :banghead HOW MANY M :deadhorse ORE RUNS DO WE NEED TO WIN ITS THE PITCHING
  15. Quit bashin the outhfield If ya want to bash go bash the bullpen already the out feild has two errors and barely any offense so what!! five runs still not enough to win you goffy geeky baseball basher the problem is the BULLPEN
  16. i agree that kool aid should be sent down to get ABs but i cant stand Reed...his only tool is speed which makes him an alright Cfer but he has no arm.... he can't bunt and Hell will freeze over before Reed hits it out of the infield...and when we pinch run with him he gets picked off. yea no thats not even close are you like from another world do yer homework on reed then get back to us ok? :respect

  18. but why arent we seeing any of those imigrants protesting?? Because it happened more than 100 years ago? Or maybe just maybe the illegal imigrants that are here from those countries(Italy.Sweden,etc.) know that they are illegally here and are staying out of the middle of this goofy protest that has inspired me and my friends to go on a shopping spree May 1
  19. I recently heard that 29% of the U.S. prison population is made up of undocumented immigrants is that true??
  20. but why arent we seeing any of those imigrants protesting??
  21. no send them off i never see asian or italians or even swedish illegals protesting !! why is that>??? -Italians immigrated during a different time when national protests were non-existent. They took a lot of crap back then and fought back with what tools they could. They also faced irrational nativism so thats not a good example. -Asians have a different culture that lends to avoiding confrontation. But that doesnt mean they shouldnt have fought back when this country wronged them. Same nativism crap lead to terrible laws in the 19th and early 20th century. Many asians feel they as a group need to fight back and become politically stronger. -Swedes? well up in the northern woods the swedish folk are planing a rally at the FISH BOIL
  22. no send them off i never see asian or italians or even swedish illegals protesting !! why is that>???
  23. Didn't anyone notice that it was the right move today? I didnt see a balk so we were just fortunate You cannot argue a balk," Froemming said. "If he does argue, it's an ejection. When he was coming off the mound and hollering, I was saying `Stay there, stay there.' I was trying to protect him. "I didn't want him to run himself into an ejection, and he did what I asked. He stayed in and continued to pitch. I'm not looking to throw guys out." Froemming said the balk was not only a correct call, but that either he or the plate umpire, Paul Emmel, could have called a balk before the previous pitch. Williamson moved toward the plate before he threw to first. "It's a quick move--boom-boom," Froemming said. "He had the guy (baserunner Eric Reed) frozen, and I called balk immediately. I have no problem with Dusty [baker] or Williamson, and I never cussed him at all. mmm?? seems like a Balk to me and they won cas of the blunders of a well statgized play on the base pads thank you Eric for your valuable contribution and getting that fat guy around to second so he can huff and puff his chubby butt to the plate was a great insurance run great job REED
  24. Reed is Master watch and learn what we all know already maybe this site being featured in the miami herald wasnt such a good idea after all Once Hermida returns, there is a good chance that Aguila could see more work in center field. Manager Joe Girardi recently said that Aguila could see work at all three outfield spots. Reed is the fastest player on the team, and he's the club's best defensive outfielder
