April 30, 200620 yr Is there anyone and I mean anyone in the minors that can help us? Bring some dude up. I don't care who it is. Has anyone been released recently from another team? Hermida won't be back until next week (Friday/Sat at the earliest) so do we have to live with Reggie and Aggy/Picky for another week?
April 30, 200620 yr Im wondering whats wrong with Stokes that they're not giving him a shot @ 1B. We are lowest in the majors in batting avg. after the 6th inning and we are on pace to lose about 110 games. But what really amazes me is that it seems like were always able to score one less run than our opponents. If our opponent scores 3 runs we score 2 but if the opponent scores 8 we score 7.
April 30, 200620 yr there is no problem with Stokes... the problem is that Jacobs has all of 60 at bats this season and there is no reason for him to be benched now working Stokes in the OF is another story
April 30, 200620 yr Author now working Stokes in the OF is another story Has Stokes worked in the outfield this season? I know we were talking about it but I didnt know if it happened. The only probably would be. Where would Stokes play?
April 30, 200620 yr Stokes is brutal in the outfield... it just wont happen that being said, if he could play the OF, he would take a corner and Hermida would go to CF
April 30, 200620 yr Amezaga started in CF a few days ago... we should keep him there, and then when Hermida comes back our lineups pretty solid.

I just wish he was having better AB's (not necessarily having a high batting avg) but at least working the count a little. Ive been watching baseball for 23 years and I've never seen anyone have less plate discipline. I think Jake can be a star and he should be allowed to bat .180.......but the question is for how long...

I don't think I could handle another outfield metdown like tonight.
April 30, 200620 yr Hermida can play CF?! would u rather have the one of 3 stuges out there :mischief
April 30, 200620 yr Hermida can play CF?! would u rather have the one of 3 stuges out there :mischief just because the 3 dudes we have in CF now suck doesnt mean Hermida's fast enough to cover the field.

That costs money as well and Loria has an allergy to touching his wallet. It will be awhile before we would see the dividends anyway! I would like to see Van Houton given a chance...but is he ready or even any better?
April 30, 200620 yr All of them have double digit K's and less than 5 BBs. I'd still give the Campusano guy w a 400 avg a shot, he's a switch which answers needing reggie and reed and they can go down to AAA and AA respectively. I'm not willing to lose just because we're young, its inexcusable. Gaby Sanchez who's down in Greensboro is a guy I'm high on. He's not ready yet, but if he can hit 360 in A ball, move him up to AA. He's a guy who can play first, catch and third. His stats are unreal: 360 AVG 640 Slug 439 OBP 7 HR 21 RBI 10 K 9 BB 3 2B 86 AB He's hitting 7th in the South Atlantic League, tied for first in HR's, 2nd in RBIs, he has the 8th most AB's and his 10K's are 1/3 of the K's leader. I'd say he's ready for AA.
April 30, 200620 yr I still think the BULLPEN is the answer the team had a ton o runs in these games and still cant win its not the outfield CRAPPP :banghead HOW MANY M :deadhorse ORE RUNS DO WE NEED TO WIN ITS THE PITCHING
