  1. Only a Mets fan could turn something like a season ending injury for Pedro into a GOOD thing. lol Maybe because Met fans have been watching their team the entire year and realize Pedro has not done a thing for them since May (even in May, he had 0, yeah, that is right, ZERO wins). Maybe because Met fans just watched three crappy Pedro starts back-to-back-to-back and realize there is no way he could possibly help the team in the postseason with the way he was pitching. Anything can happen in the playoffs. And has that same Mets fan been watching the last ten days? Or thought about how Philly could have closed the gap if Pedro's 9 wins were not there for that hot-start April... Pedro - May Stats 0-1, 2.14 ERA - The Mets are up 5 games on June 1st Pedro - June Stats 2-3, 6.23 ERA - The Mets are up 11.5 games on July 1st Pedro - July Stats 1-0 (one start), 6.00 ERA - The Mets are up 13 games on August 1st Pedro - August Stats 1-1, 5.65 ERA - The Mets are up 16 games on Sept. 1st You keep pointing to the fact that he helped get them off to a fast start. Indeed, he did. But I'll keep pointing to the fact that they pulled away from everybody else when he was hurt/not pitching well.

  3. Considering Pedro has not done anything for us since May, I'm really not worried. 7.84 Post ASB ERA - Yeah, he'd be a big help to us. :lol
  4. Fox Sports called it an allergic reaction. I'm almost praying it's this, because if it's what you said, it shows him to be even more of a primadonna headcase than I thought. Dude, are you freaking s******* me? He is a primadonna headcase because he tried to commit suicide? The dude needs help. I think that is pretty damn obvious.
  5. Dodgers vs Mets Penny = Glavine Lowe < Trachsel Maddux < Pedro Billingsley ? Maine That was typed while wearing a Dodgers hat. I'm giving Penny the benefit of the doubt regarding health/stamina, and i'm really not a big fan of Billingsley. I love Maddux to death but he can't compete with Pedro when both are on their game. Hopefully he gives us a win today though. Trachsel > Lowe  I don't see many Dodger games but I've seen enough Trachsel starts to know that he is not as good as his record says, even though he has pitched decently as of late.
  6. I hate you Jim Diquette. The trade was ridiculous but I look at it like this.......... No Kazmir trade = Duquette still the GM -----> no Pedro, no Beltran, no Delgado, no Wagner, no first place in the division.
  7. I guess to be considered for MVP you have to be a power hitter? :confused Jose Reyes. The guy is on pace for 134 runs, 200 hits, 31 doubles, 21 triples, 19 HR's, 82 RBI's and 68 stolen bases along with a .298 average.
  8. Reyes is better than Furcal. Lugo and Valentin is a draw IMO. no way. I do agree that reyes is better than furcal. I don't think JD Drew/ Endy Chavez is a draw , i'd say advantage dodgers. Furcal is a better hitter by far on the field with the glove Reyes has a bit of an advantage but with the bat Reyes is so far behind that you have to say that Furcal is the better overall; At 2nd Kent is better than Valentin, so I would say that with Lugo and Kent The Dodgers have the advantage. I like Drew but this year Chavez has played very well so I will call it even Furcal is a better hitter than Reyes? LOL Reyes is so dangerous at the plate this year and is much, much improved since last year. .299/.354/.496 (this year) vs. .273/.300/.386 (last year)
  9. The cab got hit by a drunk driver.
  10. I must say, as a Met fan, I'm not even concerned about Pedro going to the DL. In fact, I'm excited to see what Pelfrey can do. Good luck this upcoming series.
