Dyson was a closer last year on a playoff team with a 2.4 era, hand was an all star this year- is a closer and pitched to a 2.0 era and a 2.9 era last year and Miller was yoyo'ed between the rotation and bullpen and never stayed a full season in the pen. I believe he was there for a month at the end of his tenure- other than that whenever an injury arose he was shoved back into the rotation. Want to know what Koheler, Hand, Dyson and Miller all have in common- they were all Mismanaged. Hand and Dyson last year and partially this year could have saved the marlins from tunzawa and Ziegler, and the money they are paying them. They would have more trade value, and they might be in contention. Miller would have been nice, but who am I kidding- he would have been gone after 2012 anyway. I cant blame them for the Cabrera trade- Miller and Maybin are still in MLB, badenhop was a good reliever for a while, and the catcher we got made the roster at one point. Those players were too raw and needed to see other coaches to reach their potential. Miller needed to be a Kershaw and Maybin needed to be Ken griffey to justify that trade for a long time - they were too young and got forced onto the roster instead of seasoning in the minors due to dombrowski giving them MLB contracts and them not being able to go down without risking waivers. The worst thing? Not getting the fans back in 2004- that doomed this franchise and the casual fan has no one to blame but themselves.
