Forbes: Handshake Deal in Place for $1.6 Billion
It's Ross or Trumps Trust. Maybe Romney is included in the offer. Fuck. TBH I'm ok w Ross, but I don't want an owner who isn't flush w cash.

Scoop's Urena article
So, who told him to write this? Did Loria hand his flip phone to his assistant and tell him to get "Fiszarro" on the phone or did Jason Pare send him a Snapchat telling him "95.83, get the word ouut eh"

Marlins interested in Mark Reynolds and Chris Carter
He probably wanted to increase his value like @Admin said, chance's are he thinks he can get Mark Trumbo money next winter and playing in Miami isn't going to help him show off his power potential if he's just hitting warning track bombs. Still, a two year offer for 8 million total might have made him think twice about a 1 year deal. We really don't have a place for him unless you move Bour- but he has power potential too. No truly positive gain.

Olivo walked out on the 2013 team, then when he signed a MILB deal with the Dodgers he got into a fight with a teammate during a game (Guerrero the Cuban?) and bit part of his ear off. Somehow he kept getting jobs after that.- Walls
True, but being a bad baseball player and being a piece of shit human being are two different things no? Isn't that where we were headed with Castro, Pinto, Olivo, and Hanley? Although I did say DonoFuckface just reminded me of a bad time in our history so... IDK. What did half of those guys do wrong besides suck?- MLB's Next Superstars

With the way contracts are going, it'll be a bargain in a few years. I'd argue Stanton's a superstar in PR/marketing right now. He's young, engaging, humble and mashes. He's the perfect face of a franchise trying to keep and gain fan support. His homeruns are top 10 plays, and he is a media darling. While his contract may be huge right now, the amount of good press and exposure he generates for this is more than enough. Think about it, other teams players are openly begging for him to play in the HRD, and the press eats it up. This year alone he'll earn his contract for this year from all the press he's going to get. He's a decent player, combining his health and production together. He can be a superstar like Cutch, Harvey, Harper and Longoria if he can stay healthy. He's shown he can have flashes of .300 hitting and massive homers. Consistency will make him a Superstar player, but he's already a Superstar in the news/ marketing.- Walls
Pinto's a good one, Uggla too- forgot about his fuck face moment when he declined the same deal he took in ATL. Miller was a disappointment, but not really his fault- he wasn't ready but making MLB money so he had to go to MLB Dugouts. Lindstrom was ok, was he not? Alot of the guys on the list weren't scumbags, they just werent very good here.- Walls

Foound this while trying to find Lomo's pee pee...... Ed Luca's wife is selling Lomo's home. No wonder Eddie is back in Miami. http://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/logan-morrison-selling-florida-home/- Walls

Morrison? What'd he do? He was always pretty engaging with fans from what I saw- a bit too much but he seemed cool enough.- Walls
He'll be back this year for one of the former Marlins autograph signings and to throw out the first pitch while a pigeon fly's around trapped for three hours.- Marlins vs Rays
Found this on Expos Wiki When Loria took control, he let it be known that Brochu's low-budget approach—or as he called it, "business as usual"—was over.[136] He promised to rebuild the Expos with "a winning attitude and winning players" in an effort to bring the team back to where it had been only six years earlier.[137] To that end, he drafted a new partnership agreement that gave him the right to call for cash investments in exchange for team equity—an option that had been unavailable to Brochu. Most of the minority partners, though, continued to treat their participation as a public-relations gesture and remained uninterested in investing additional money. When Loria issued a cash call in May 2000, the only other partners to increase their contributions were Coutu, Loblaw, and Stephen Bronfman. Rather than contribute more money, the minority partners proposed trading Guererro. Loria instantly vetoed this suggestion.[138] As Loria increased his own financial contribution over the next two years, most of the other partners failed to do likewise, which resulted in Loria raising his share in the franchise to 92 percent.[139][140][141] Speaking in retrospect, one of the minority partners, Mark Routtenberg, said that he was both "fooled" and "used" by Loria, and called him a carpetbagger.[142]- Walls
Yep, a definite wall for Ramon Castro- what a scumbag and my oh my has times changed. He accepted a plea agreement where he pled guilty for a year of probation. http://old.post-gazette.com/localnews/20031106castrolocal5p5.asp- Walls
That's a good one, but was he ever really expected to do much? I'd probably go with Ramon Castro over Salty. He was supposed to be THE guy on the 04 World Series defending team and he ended up with turf toe didn't he?- Marlins vs Rays
Would MLB have 30 teams today if they contracted Minnesota and Montreal? I think I even saw something where the Twins and Oakland would comboine and Montreal will go into a dispersal draft of some sort- Or was it MTL would combine with the Marlins. Think Seals/Barons/North Stars/Sharks- Marlins vs Rays
From what I recall, he was a minority owner on a sinking ship and started buying out other minority owners on the cheap while trying to keep them in MTL. Eventually it became untenable and he started not to give a Fuck to move em. I think that's how there was only French broadcasts and low attendee numbers.- Marlins vs Rays
I see them getting stuck in Oakland, or playing in Levi's Stadium in SF. - Walls
