  2. I may start smoking again if I lose my ALCS bet. Nah, you can find another habit to pick up from it.
  3. Someone explain to me why Michael Crabtree isn't the leader of the heisman race... 78 rec, 1244 yds, 17 TD IN 7 GAMES Uhhh... there's a Heisman race this year? Nobody nationally is talking about the Heisman this year. The field has been too convoluted. I think they forgot to pre-determine a winner like always. On the Allstate, now Illinois is #1 while Hawaii is #2. I think more people figured out how to stuff the ballot box. ESPN's going to take that away from us before long if people keep voting a 2-loss team ahead of six undefeateds.
  4. I can't lie...that was one of the most emotional playoff series that I've ever witnessed outside of the Marlins in 97 and 03 of course... the Rockies remind me so much of the Marlins and just so many things about this just puts a HUGE smile on my face...I love baseball, I love genuine emotion like this...and right now I'm seriously loving the Colorado Rockies... Congratulations Rox! One more step! Considering what they're playing for, there is no way they are going to lose now.
  5. so hows the smoking going? :lol I think the distraction and the Chewbacca defenses are helping him keep his mind off his habit.
  6. He was never in WWE. He was in TNA, ROH, and some other indy promotions. I think he was banned from a few, can't remember which. The dude has a serious problem. I know that. I meant developmental deals with WWE.
  7. I know the deal with Turkey not liking the idea of the Armenian Genocide being called...well...a genocide, but why? It was the Ottoman Empire that committed it. They could easily state it that way, pawn it off as one of the reasons Ataturk led the Turkish Revolution shortly after, and be done with it.
  8. If I'm Francona and I lose tonight, I bring Beckett back for Game 4 before this thing gets out of hand. I know its a little knee jerk but if anyone has proven that they were born to pitch in the playoffs its Josh Beckett. Considering it's Francona we're talking about, this will never happen.
  9. Call Chewbacca when USF has to play Auburn..... oh.... Leave him a message when they have to play Ole Miss, Miss St, Vandy........... :notworthy
  10. Rutgers v. USF on Thursday night. Should be a good game. Yes it should, and it's just the beginning. USF has to go against the rest of the Big East. You say that like playing Big East teams is challenging.... I was saying that like, they need to be undefeated to keep their BCS title shot. But since you put it that way, let's look at the Big East this year to date. UConn is 5-1. Cincinnati is 6-1. West Virginia is 5-1, and USF is their only loss. Rutgers is 4-2. Louisville is 4-3. Syracuse is 1-6 (that win was a conference win). Pitt is 2-4. Five winning teams besides USF? Seems challenging enough to me.

  12. the fan polls always have a bunch of big 10 teams in the top 10 Indiana was at 6 last week :lol The weird thing is, Illinois lost last week. ESPN has a nice e-Ticket about Jason Ray, the UNC mascot performer that died this year, and several of the people whose lives were saved because he chose to be an organ donor. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=rayofhope

  14. Why do you say y'all? Miami is a lot of things, but it's also in "The South". Hence, we say "y'all".
  15. It was time. Life moves on and people will continue to come and go. Time and the world stops for no one, not even George Steinbrenner. I'm sure the world would stop for him if he wanted it to. :mischief Then again, he's George Steinbrenner, not George Jetson. "Jane, stop this crazy thing!"
  16. Sweeping Cleveland at home is not going to happen. To me, 2/3 is a best case scenario. The Sox won three-of-four in Cleveland. If the Rox can take three straight from the D-Backs, then surely the Sox can take three straight from the Indians. Gotta think positively.
  17. Jesus, how many basketball players have bad hearts?
  18. The Sox had their chances to score and they didn't come up with the big play. Oh well, lets get two in Cleveland. Why not win all three, and have them return to Boston for World Series game 1 instead of ALCS game 6?
  19. Orlando Rays replied to MiMi's topic in Off-Topic
Why does it seem like we go through this twice a week?
  20. Three down, one to go. The Rockies are getting scary.
  21. TORREALBA THREE-RUN JACK!!!! 4-1 ROX!!!!
  22. I just realized something... if the Rox make it to the World Series, we may break the 1997 World Series record of the coldest World Series game ever. EDIT: sh*t, I missed a Matt Holliday HR. 1-0 Rox.
  23. Now people can't complain that the one in control is Bozo the Rubenstein.
  24. 1) Ohio State 2) USF 3) Boston College 4) Oklahoma 5) Kansas 1) Ohio State 2) USF 3) Boston College 4) Oklahoma 5) LSU I was full of sh*t on the Kansas, but considering the analysts on SportsCenter were non-top-5 and #5 on USF, I find getting 1-4 right on the AP poll to be a big ol' F-U to the analysts. I think the BCS won't be much different. The Coaches' poll as usual is full of sh*t with USF at #3, but it's nice that some of them are giving them #1 votes. I'm willing to bet George O'Leary was one of them.
