  1. So..... USF or UCF?
  2. That game was the total opposite of what the Red Sox were in the second half of the season: Winning ugly, manufacturing runs, tons of hits, walks and errors w/RISP. And this against C.C. Sabathia. The question is, can they repeat it against Fausto Carmona?
  3. Drew really f***ed up there. I think he switched brains with his big brother. :mischief
  4. 2-1 Rockies now. :mischief
  5. Perfect block by Tulowitzki!
  6. I hope an HD LED board is in the future of Fenway renovations. I
  7. Gagne loads the bases, then gets another K for the third out. 10-3.
  8. GODDAMN THAT THREE-PITCH K FROM GAGNE WAS NASTY!!!!
  9. Back from my high school football game (I help with chain crew). 10-3 Red Sox. Think the lead's big enough for Eric Gagne?
  10. Surely, there had to be other candidates with more tangible contributions to world peace. Saad Hariri, one of the leaders of the Cedar Revolution in Lebanon. It's not saying much, but he's definitely more deserving than Al Gore. And the only other deserving person I can think of, Aung San Suu Kyi, is already a laureate. Oh, wait... the Buddhist monks of Burma, now that I think of it. Then again I don't think you can nominate people that are likely already dead.
  11. Thats an interesting mistake to make...considering you have to drive across 3 hours of rolling Missouri hills to get to Springfield, MO after you leave St. Louis and the general desolate flatness that is Illinois. They should have used that in kayfabe. It would add to his profile as an inept heel. :mischief
  12. no offense meant as I care little either way but wikipedia as a source? Yes. It's not like this is some sort of vanity article or some bulls*** like Numa Numa. This is an event in history.
  13. ...and Al Gore's mission to increase his political capital continues. He will go for the presidency again. But the next time he runs, he wants to make sure he wins. We can only hope there are enough people that aren't stupid enough to fall for his bull. Then again, my opinion is that Hillary and Al are the two Democrats that would probably be easiest to beat if they get the Dem nod.
  14. I didnt know people paid attention to Ann Coulter. To be honest, neither did I. Ann Coulter is an incredible extremist, and I'm honestly surprised that she has as much pull on the right as she does. There are many times where I hope she's saying some of her stuff in jest. Like the thing about carpet-bombing the Middle East and converting them all to Christianity right after 9/11.
  15. I will repeat the commentary I made at the TNA Wrestling fan forums. ...the Nobel Peace Prize has officially lost any meaning whatsoever. At least when Jimmy Carter got it, the illusion that he did anything meaningful for peace could be had. In this case, what has Al Gore really done for peace besides be the Vice President of somebody who accidentally bombed the Chinese embassy in Serbia, lobbed some missiles at Iraq for no other reason than to distract America from an adultery-and-perjury scandal, and refused to take Osama bin Laden when Sudan offered him to us on a silver platter? If Scandinavia has an unusually cold winter like the Southern Hemisphere just did, then they will look incredibly stupid. You're so full of it. They did not lob any missiels at Iraq during the Lewinsky scandal. They bombed the hell out of Sudan and some other country, where we thought Bin Laden was. My mentioning of "bombing Iraq" and "refusing to take Osama bin Laden" were not mutually inclusive. Operation Desert Fox, December 1998 Some critics of the Clinton administration expressed concern over the timing of Operation Desert Fox. The four-day bombing campaign occurred at the same time the U.S. House of Representatives was conducting the impeachment hearing of President Clinton. Clinton was impeached on December 19, the last day of the bombing campaign. A few months earlier, similar criticism was leveled during Operation Infinite Reach, wherein missile strikes were ordered against suspected terrorist bases in Sudan and Afghanistan, on August 20. The missile strikes began three days after Clinton was called to testify before a grand jury during the Lewinsky scandal and his subsequent nationally televised address later that evening in which Clinton admitted having an inappropriate relationship. Unlike some people, of any political persuasion, I don't pull this kind of stuff out of my ass.

  17. I'm not going to bother predicting this one. The pitching matchups are too equal.
  18. The headline on ESPN.com right now, regarding the Rockies: "That's How They Roll" BTW: I just got a look at the interference call in the bottom of the 7th. The way I saw it, Upton pushed himself off the bag in a different direction in an attempt to get Matsui, who was clearly not in the way of a typical slide. It was a good interference call IMHO. The funny thing is, I think trying to take out the knees like that would result in a 15-yard penalty in the NFL.
  19. "That guy's pretty good. If...if you like...6-5, 230-pound quarterbacks...laser, rocket arm."
  20. Stephen Drew struck out swinging for the squander, just like his brother.
  21. Did anybody just see that weird bunt? It literally rolled right down the line and hit the bag. The third baseman waited for it to go foul, and it didn't. It wasn't a bunt. I know, but it sure behaved like one.

  23. so next tuesday will be passed the bill to officially negotiate over that land with the newfound money and land there of the OB. So another 2 weeks after that and basic deal offically would be done (sure they have one pretty much drawn up already). Then a few more months for zoning and that stuff. Then another 6-8 months before ground breaking? I won't take the timetable as anywhere near canon, but... what zoning? It's already a stadium. I don't think they have different zones for baseball stadiums and football stadiums. :mischief
  24. Wow, these birthday threads are really going to clog up the board. :mischief Happy Birthday.
  25. No dice.. the file is a .docx file and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open it. It's a Word 2007 document. See if you can find a reader for Office 2007 documents for Mac OS X.
