On the bright side, if Hanley had not gotten to that, Ryan would have scored. Now all we need is a K and a DP. :thumbup

this is bs. fsn sucks. and uggla hitting 2nd is ridiculous. lets get him going in the 2 spot so we can move him away right when he starts hitting again? he's not ideal for 2 at all, not remotely close, so why put him back there. put de aza or hermida for more than 2 weeks and lets see what we got. seriously, F*CK FSN FSN doesn't suck. Just the production team of the Marlins. You'd think they'd treat the Rays worse, but nooooooo.....

Dude, I just bought my first pack of baseball cards in 15 years. The Hess on the corner was selling seven-packs of Topps 2007 baseball cards for 99 cents. One of the cards was Dan Uggla.

My vision: The Ballpark at the Orange Bowl
I love Minute Maid, so I put it in there. The Ballpark at Marlington. At last, someone other than me is taking Live Local and using it to splice together crappy artist renditions! Yay creativity!!! :thumbup chase field would be a horrible design - since it's closed up so much it's designed to be primarily a dome where they can keep the sun out and AC up - there is little natural light in there - even when the roof is open they also open up a couple panels behind the outfield - really no sightlines though i think a design like safeco could work as it can shelter from the rain while still providing a great view and open air environment Something would have to meet half-way between the two, like Chase Field's general design with the ability to lower the seaward wall so that it would give the crowd the skyline view. Safeco is really open because Seattle just doesn't get hot all that often, so they have the dome semi-open so they can provide rain cover without requiring a/c.

CT, please tell me you actually know Dutch and aren't just pulling this out of your ass. WIN!!! it's called freetranslation.com so I give it about 90% certainty I was gonna say, because it looks like it used a totally different acronym for ERA over last time.

I've come up with a third idea, this time based on Chase Field.

Florida Marlins Statement
Deal would have been done years ago if Loria negotiated in good faith. I thought it was the politicians who have done the most damage....how far as the Marlins stadium deal gotten, only for the politicians to kill it? And if you're going to blame management, I'd blame Samson more than Loria. And besides, John Henry couldn't get a stadium deal done either....isn't that why he left (or at least a major part of it)? Henry was offered the opportunity to buy the Red Sox as well. Own the Marlins....or Own the Red Sox? Gee, what a difficult decision! Specifically the state politicians. State money has died in the Legislature the past two consecutive years. try like the last six years or so maybe even more I'm referring to the last two specifically, since it passed in one chamber and died due to the session ending before it was taken up in the other. I remember those vividly.

Bring on the losses.
This season is a lost season. Let's go for the best draft pick possible. Sit back and enjoy the riducliously poor play, while enjoying the offensive numbers Hanley and Miguel put up. The drive for 2 is on! Texan, you do know your hit counter for Biggio is out-of-date, right? He's at 3,038. He's 22nd, between Rod Carew (3,053) and Lou Brock (3,023). And I'll be damned... he IS the active hits leader. :thumbup

The drive for 2 is on! In baseball being a high draft pick is not an indicator of success, no matter the excellence of the scouting program...Anyone remember Brian Taylor? It's not the relative slam dunk of drafting high in football and basketball.
