  1. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/anibal-sanchez-the-race-changer/ I don't think It will happen. I think the Marlins want to be competitive going into the new ballpark. A healthy JJ and maybe another good starting pitcher addition and they can be a threat.
  2. Someone be the man and stream the game
  3. I dare someone whoi has it to stream it. Does U stream work?
  4. How is it not blacked out Not sure, I am watching it. Oh, you live in Georgia?
  5. Is the game being broadcasted by the Mariners network? Any streams?
  6. Hated this sign since the first time I saw it.
  7. Does anyone on here actually know the mechanics of hitting. Can someone tell us why Buck is hitting poorly, without looking at a statsheet? No. Perhaps you can inform us about that. If I knew at an advanced level wouldn't be asking. It's interesting how baseball forums has changed since sabermetrics. Talking baseball seams to be just stats now. When You go to a football or basketball forum, people are talking about the game, how to play it, what's being done right or wrong. I know those sports are different and baseball has the ability to objectively rate players through stats, but there is a game being played. Baseball is Babip and xfip all the time, it's making me yawn.

  9. BTW, it's worth mentioning that the Marlins fired him once. Loria owned Marlins?
  10. Spoke to Dick's son, says they still aren't 100% on him announcing in the new ballpark.
  11. Let's not fail to mentinon Buck is a 31 year old catcher no longer in the roid era. It's going to to start to be a grind to hit like he did in previous seasons.
  12. If I get to see Buck half as often I'd be extremely thrilled.

  18. Jammers win 9-3 Curtis Petersen had an appearance in relief, struck out two in a scoreless inning. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=t489&t=g_box&gid=2011_06_17_jamasx_mvsasx_1 I really want a Jammers hat.
  19. Pujols would be a Type A free agent. I'm confused. How many compensation picks do you get for a type A free agent signing elsewhere? I thought it was just one. Teams get a compensation pick + a pick from the team that acquires the type A free agent for a type A free agent. So, it's two picks. This probably explains it better: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/07/free-agent-comp.html So this is saying that the team losing the free agent gets the team that is signing the players first round pick, plus a pick in the sandwich round?

  21. MiamiNative asked for one so here it is!!! So, I, uh...Fielder and Pujols. Both will get new contracts, but from whom? Will they get signed and then dealt? Well...lets say Loria is pissed and shocks MLB by offering this at all-star break. Marlins trade: 1B Gaby Sanchez, CL Leo Nunez, Prospect Matt Dominguez, Prospect Ozzie Martinez. FOR Cards Trade: 1B Albert Pujols, 2 Prospects to be named later, cash. LOL or Hmmm...? If the Cardinals somehow got an intication that Pujols was not going to resign, that trade wouldn't be that outrageous. Yes, it is. Ozzie is worth completely nothing. Dominguez projects to be average to slightly above average. Leo Nunez is getting expensive. And Gaby is a nice player, but will probably be slightly above average for the next few year, since 1B is such a stacked position. And the Cardinals are in the thick of the playoff race - why in the heck would they trade their absolute best player??!!? This is true. Even if it wasn't, the Cardinals would be better off losing Pujols for nothing and getting two first round draft picks. Gaby/Dominguez/Nunez/Ozzie for Pujols is a garbage deal. It's basically Gaby and Dominguez for Pujols because Nunez trade value is minimal (compared to this case) and nobody really cares about Ozzie Martinez; he sucks. Wouldn't they just receive one pick in the sandwich round?
