Prepare to lose against Moyer
After the game on saturday the marlins admitted the fact that they do not try to change their approach against a pitcher that does well against them. It is no secret that the homerun approach does not work against soft tossing pitchers as it has been proven time and time again by the marlins' struggles against those type of pitchers. Jacobs' said this "I think you have to go out there and play your game," Jacobs said. "You can't change things because a certain pitcher is throwing well, or whatever....I don't think it's going to change. ... You go out there and play baseball, and that's it." therefore, unless moyer struggles to threw strikes on tuesday we are most likely going to struggle against him AGAIN caused they will refuse to change their homerun approach. However, this approach did get us to where we are at so i guess you have to lose some to win some. Jacobs is a silly baboon. i agree with you completely

Prepare to lose against Moyer
So you are going to take a quote from the man who is obviously the worst hitter mentally on the entire team and run it as the team mantra? That said, Jake hits .429/.467/1.143 with 3 HR off Moyer in 15 ABs. I don't think he is the one who needs to change anything. why not? its obvious they dont change their approach against those types of pitchers

Arthur Rhodes a Marlin!
who are we sending down now to make room for rhodes, justin miller? everyone else has an era under four, except for hendrickson of course

Hanley
actually he has had more Ab w/ risp than uggla w/ 82 and he only has 16 hits all year. He also only has 5 homeruns w/ risp. he needs to step up and be more clutch. we are paying so he can perform during clutch situations. he is the player we should be depending on when the game is on the line. 15 of his 24 homeruns have been solo homeruns. this tells me that he feels less pressure when no one is on base and therefore has more ease in getting homeruns
-
Hanley
what are you talking about he is having a bad stretch, he has struggled all year w/ risp. he is not clutch at all. he can only bring in runs with an occasional homerun. but other than that he cant do crap. i think he puts too much pressure on himself cause after he signed that contract his batting average starting going down
-
7/30 - Marlins vs Mets
of course hanley ends the line of hits w/ risp
-
7/30 - Marlins vs Mets
GO AHEAD AND PEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
-
7/30 - Marlins vs Mets
cantu and cody are definetly the best clutch hitters we got. uggla and hanley and jake are always looking to homer and dont adjust to how the pitcher is pitching them, which is why they always screw up in clutch situations.

Marlins' struggling offense
Well they do seem to be scuffling a bit at plate. I thought they would score a ton of runs against the Cubs, and they only scored more than 3 once. Yet, they won 2 out of 4. I say tomorrow we pummel the sh*t out of the Mutts and take the series. yea despite the fact that we are struggling at the plate we have played .500 baseball since the ASB. Imagine when our offense gets going, man i hope that happens soon

Marlins' struggling offense
is it just me or are the marlins constantly giving the ptiching they have faced too much credit for their struggling offense on this recent stretch. I think they should realize that it is not always something the pitcher is doing but rather something they are doing. They need to change their approach and quick. Our batting average w/ risp is ridiculous and the only reason we dont leave much men on base is because of our homeruns, i am not sure about this fact but i read it in a post by another user. He knows our team," Ross said. "We gear up. We see his 82-mph fastball coming, and it looks good to hit. Granted, it is not in the spot that we want it to be, but it still looks good. On 2-0, he's throwing a changeup at 73. quote on night against moyer It is extremely frustrating to see this team constantly fail against this pitcher. they should know by now that they cant have their usual approach to this pitcher which is hitting homeruns.Yet it doesnt seem that have made an effort to do so after they have been beaten ten times. "If you look back at those games, for you to drive the ball, you need a pitch usually in the middle of the plate," Willingham said. "Those guys didn't leave them in the middle of the plate. I don't know if it would have made a difference if they were throwing 82 or 92 [mph]. If you pitch the way they pitch, they are going to have success." quote after game against jorge campillo "These guys threw the ball well. Their bullpen came in, Heilman and Wagner and pretty much limited us to nothing." quote from tonigh by hermida. After falling to bring in a run in two chances hermida says this. First of all heilman was struggling to throw strikes when he came in. Hermida should have ripped at least one of his fastballs but didnt. yet he gives heilman all the credit for pitching well. they need to know that they need to change something in their constant homerun approach. Let me know what you guys think, maybe i am being too damn negative but i am kind of pissed off right now, well this is how i feel every time we lose lol

Mets vs. Marlins 7/28 7:10 PM
Lets go Nolasco! man we are not getting any breaks in our schedule. the rockies are supposed to be the only "bad team" we are going to play in a while and they are hot right now I don't believe in calling a team "bad" if you catch a team at the wrong time your liable to be swept, regardless. It's a game anyone can win, that's what makes it so awesome nothing is set in stone. :gofish hence the quotations, they are ten games under right now, which would supoosebly mean that that team isnt very good, but they are hot right now They also took 3 of 4 from the Marlins. Baseball is unpredictable. it certainly is

Ricky is bad against the teams that matter most within the division (except the Phillies, he had one great game, one so so game). yeap, if doesnt pitcvh well within our division we are screwed. he is supposed to be our ace

Mets vs. Marlins 7/28 7:10 PM

Willingham and uggla are pissing me off. but that call was unbelievably horrible. bro and look at those comparisons. wright's pitch from nolasco was alot better
