Hermida should be given a 4th strike. he's the idiot that stepped out without making sure he had gotten time The ump half put his hands up as if he was giving time. No reason for that. hermida wasnt looking at the ump before he stepped out, if the ump said "time" and then hermida stepped out then i blame the ump. even if the ump half lifted his hands hermida was not looking at the ump when he decided to step out without knowing for sure if the ump gave him time

And he still blows it, after 2 outs. C'mon...you're not gonna get every borderline call, either. That umpire sucked for both teams tonight; he called one on Reyes in about the 6th inning, that almost hit the dirt. Whatever. Tomorrow is another day. Borderline? The pitch to Castillo was a strike all night and in the 9th, the pitch he made to Wright was a strike for Ayala. Face it, he got 5 outs in that inning and still is getting the heat for this loss. so according to you gregg did nothing wrong

damn i love our pitching staff. i am only worried about olsen and sanchez Scotty doesn't worry me at all, but it's also Ani I still have reservations about. i am more worried about sanchez because of the surgery and all but i am not impressed with olsen's "stuff" and he depends alot on his location which is what worries me about him

i know i am getting ahead of myself and that this team is extremely inconsistent BUt if we win today we are only 5.0 games back, i know obvious. and then tomorrow we have another good chance of winning with our offense going against pelfrey, who we have eaten alive, which means only 4.0 games back. then hopefully olsen can pitch well sunday
