And although Cards have division wrapped up, they have the motivation to go for home field advantage in playoffs. To keep the positive vibes going...the Rockies play the Dodgers their last series of the year, and that series will be meaningful to the Dodgers either way (be it for the homefield, or the division, itself). well the rockies just lost so we are 4 games back. The worst record we can possibly have these next nine games is 7-2 and the best record the rockies can possibly have is 3-6 if we intend to remain in a tie for the wild card. This is also assuming the braves and giants play poorly enough to fall behind us. The rockies have to play the cards, dodgers, and brewers; which in my opinion it is pretty feasible to end up with a record of 3-6 against those teams. The problem is we also have to play tough teams in the phillies and braves. Here's to hoping

This week reminds me of the first 42 games in 2006. How. Here tonite, we had our starter deliver 7 excellent innings, with the only runs coming on a single fly ball that goes for a HR in a BOOM BOX. Throw Penn out there. Hopper has showed time and time again, including today, that he has trouble once batters have gotten a look at him. The man can be ridiculously sick out of the pen, so no reason to mess with that. i agree, the most he can go is about three innings, assuming he sends the batters down 1,2,3 in each inning

I am going to try to find the positive ...we had a nice crowd . I think Nunez should be given the option to compete for the closers role he is healthy and he has wider variety of pitches. bad thing is that alot of the crowd was probably made up of bandwagon fans so alot of those people, who probably thought the marlins were a good team before this loss, will stop coming to games cause they witnessed such a deflating loss

guys I love this team this year and I think its going to be pretty good season but I'm not jumping the gun either. The Marlins have played the nationals 5/11 games.(one more to go). They are the worst team in baseball.. On the plus side, the thing that worried me the most going into the season was the pen and they got a good thing going now. good teams (the marlins) beat bad teams (the nationals). The nationals have the worst record in baseball thus far thanks in largely to us, but i do see where you are coming from
