  1. I actually believe Braun. Listening to this news conference, everything he's saying actually makes sense. There's no way his testosterone was 3 times higher than any result in the history of drug testing in baseball. Correct. And there's no way his body could have went right back to normal following an immediate re-test. I don't know why people always rush to these conclusions. I've read studies that suggest that human chorionic gonadotropin can boost the T:E ratios even beyond Braun's levels and subsequently return them to normal over the period of about a day or less. Chorionic Gonadotropin increases NATURAL testosterone. The testosterone found in Braun was synthetic. Correct. I think what happened to him must have been that one in a million false positive... Or someone really did f*** with the sample. But I just don't see Braun as "that guy". Honestly, I didn't think Braun was innocent at first. But now that I've heard his side and looked at the evidence, I think he is in fact innocent. It could have been a false positive, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of somebody tampering with the sample. There's definitely a lot of haters out there.

  5. Yeah I still think it's a monstrosity, but it does look a little better than I thought it would.
  6. Great game! Didn't care about either team, but I'm glad the Patriots lost.
  7. Me too. I'm containing myself, but pugstein has a facebook with over 300 pictures... just sayin' You're just jealous of our love.
  8. I'm watching his press conference online, and he admitted that he drank too much that night. He was with Ian Kinsler for part of the night, but Ian didn't know he was drinking. Hamilton said that he was very "sneaky" about it. Basically, he screwed up, and he's very sorry for it. That was the gist of it.
  9. I just want to flood this thread. My dog is the best. Me too. I'm containing myself, but pugstein has a facebook with over 300 pictures... just sayin'
  10. Well I'm sure Loria is sirius about the word 'skyline' then. PNC isn't a skyline, it's a background But siriusly, back to Calculus. Ugh, Calculus. I was Tylenol's best customer when I was in that class. Headaches galore.
  11. I wish somebody that has a far better understanding of this would explain exactly how this works. Confuses me a bit. Example..... Although federal law gave women the right to vote long before, the Florida constitution wasn't amended to do it until 1969. Yet some counties were allowing it before that. (Information taken from a 3 volumn set entitled "Florida's Past", "Florida's Past," published by Pineapple Press, Sarasota, Florida. I can't help you with the legal stuff, but I can give you a better understanding that commas actually go inside quotation marks. You're never too old to learn. When it comes to quotention marks and punctuation, I've decided that I'm British. The American way makes no sense. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=tykzAyISnNk

The title of the three-volume set is: Florida's Past The title of the three-volume set is not: Florida's Past, Therefore, to include the comma inside the quotation marks would be to incorrectly quote the title of the set. http://grammar.ccc.c...s/quotation.htm Basically, in America, PurpleHaze is correct. In the United Kingdom, Canada, and islands under the influence of British education, you would be correct.
  13. No other stadium has that sort of skyline view. Yeah, a few parks give you some downtown buildings, but no other stadium has that sort of wide-open and all-encompassing view of miles of buildings. Loria and his architects and designers hit the view-jackpot. There's nothing else close to it in all of MLB. This ain't bad: Ha! You beat me to it. I was about to post that exact picture. PNC is my favorite park right now.

  15. I literally listen to every type of music but here's one unmanly song that I like. No, I'm not gay, but these dudes can sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rppVf1UGbKM
  16. I hope the Cubs sign him. Can't really disagree with you there. I haven't felt good about him since he came into the spotlight. There's definitely some potential, but how much potential is the big question. I mean who really knows how his numbers will translate from the Cuban league. A big contract based on projections doesn't sit well with me.
  17. Nice to see some of the members changing their position on this. I wonder if outsiders will have a change of heart as well.
  18. Can't wait. Stop exaggerating with this crap. There's no way it would get like that. Where is that anyways? Get like what? All I see is a lot of people standing outside a stadium (the trash being a byproduct of the atmosphere.) Are you insinuating that these people are homeless? Why? WHAT MAKES YOU ASSUME THAT??? Not sure what you're trying to say.
  19. I think the Tigers were rather dumb to do this. Agreed.
  20. Can't wait. Stop exaggerating with this crap. There's no way it would get like that. Where is that anyways? really? Rhetorical question. Calm down.
  21. A simple answer is to have both Cabrera and Fielder play 1st base simultaneously and have gravity do the rest of the work. Haha. Good stuff.
  22. Did we sign centipede yet? Great, now you just made me think of The Human Centipede. That put me off food for the next three hours.... Cesspool? Does that do anything for ya?
  23. I think you're exaggerating. Anyways, desperate times call for desperate measures. There's a lot of homeless nowadays, and in modern society, they should be able to have a place to sleep besides a park bench. This is a cheap solution to an unfortunate problem. Is it? Who's going to pay to keep the lights on, the food warm, the a/c cold, and the water running? Who's going to pay the service workers and extra security details (in addition to regular nightly patrols when unoccupied)? Who's going to pay for the cleanup before each game? This is all well-intentioned with undoubtedly unintended consequences. They proclaim it should be a homeless shelter because it accepted taxpayer money, yet they'll end up putting out even more taxpayer money to make it happen. Should I have to allow the homeless into my residence because I received the First-Time Homebuyer Credit? The teams have to pay for the necessary accommodations according to the article.
  24. Use the stadium in the off-season and when the season starts switch to another stadium. I'm sure they'll gladly oblige. You gonna pick up the tab to move them, or are they? Besides, it'll take the whole season to get the urine smell out. (Respirator Day giveaway, anyone? ) I think you're exaggerating. Anyways, desperate times call for desperate measures. There's a lot of homeless nowadays, and in modern society, they should be able to have a place to sleep besides a park bench. This is a cheap solution to an unfortunate problem.
