Replay in baseball
I think instituting replay is inevitable. From what I've heard, though, it could take a while for it to get here. I, for one, am for it. I think once it's here, the ones who wanted to keep the status quo won't take long to accept it. Come on MLB, let's get these calls right.

JJ Out for Season
Aren't little kids who are impervious to logic cute? :lol It's been explained 6 ways from Sunday. Put simply, you jumped to unjustified conclusions about the state of JJ's shoulder. One could say that you misled yourself. Now, please stop your reflexive projecting lest you embarrass yourself further. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hfYJsQAhl0 You're pretty much a waste of time. Believe what you want old timer.

or the organization for misleading everyone into thinking it wasn't a serious problem. It APPEARED to be a routine inflammation, they HOPED he would be back soon after a little rest. It didn't turn out that way. Medicine is like that, outcomes aren't always predictable with certainty and durations of disability aren't either. Apparently you're too dense to understand their hedged statements for what they were, and took them to mean what you wanted them to mean. JJ's not back and may not be back this year, so you have to stomp your little foot and claim that you were misled, when the fault lies entirely with you. Additionally, you are incorrect in your assertion that it is a "serious problem" as there is no structural damage. At least none that two MRIs turned up. In fact, Andrews told JJ that he should expect that this will not be a chronic condition. It's serious only in the sense that a normally routine condition is taking much longer than normal to subside resulting in more lost playing time than hoped for. It happens. Get over it. Stop acting like a little kid who has to assign blame to someone else because he misunderstood something and his desires were frustrated. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljQMpgVY5mg Don't you think it's pretty sad that you have gone through all this effort to prove that I wasn't misled about JJ's return? I mean seriously. You've got issues. You're entitled to your opinion, just as I am. They misled the public, and nobody, not even a smartass know-it-all like you, can convince me otherwise. Feel free to keep trying though.

JJ Out for Season
Just in case you were wondering: mis·lead/misˈlēd/ Verb: Cause (someone) to have a wrong idea or impression about someone or something: "the government misled the public about the road's environmental impact" They caused me to have a wrong impression about Josh Johnson's return date. Therefore, the Marlins organization 'misled' the public about Josh Johnson's return date. In case you forgot, I also have my original statement: "He went from mild shoulder soreness to out for the season. I don't know who I am more irritated with: JJ, for being as durable as a wet paper bag or the organization for misleading everyone into thinking it wasn't a serious problem. "

Well there's really no point in arguing with somebody who doesn't understand the meaning of 'misled'. :lol It is pretty funny huh?

JJ Out for Season
Ah, they knew what was wrong: shoulder inflammation. Confirmed by two MRIs. The comments from the Marlins were to the effect of we "hope" he'll be back whenever. Manager Edwin Rodriguez said he is hopeful that Johnson comes off the DL on schedule and make a June 1 start in Arizona "It's not great,' baseball operations president Admin Beinfest said Tuesday before the Marlins opened a three-game series against the Athletics. "He threw a (bullpen) on Friday and reported a little bit more stiffness and it just didn't feel right. We set him up to go see Andrews. Obviously, it's not what we were looking for in the progression.' The inflammation was characterized as the best possible outcome, they were relieved that there was no structural damage revealed by the MRIs. At no point did anyone guarantee any return date. You have a truly ridiculous definition of "misled." You also misinterpreted the intention of the JJ quotes. They were there to illustrate the uncertainty and that it wasn't necessarily "mild." Nothing to do with the FO. What other definition is there of 'misled'? They led us to believe that JJ would return soon and he didn't. Therefore, we were misled, whether it was intentional or not. Do you work for the FO or something? I think you're taking this way too seriously.

Golf is awesome. I'm not great, but I'm getting better. I usually play in the colder months though, because the heat is so unbearable in the middle of summer.

JJ Out for Season
They either misled everyone or they're incompetent. :lol "But you never know with these things," Johnson said. "It's going to tell me. Just got to make sure we get it out of there, that it goes away." Johnson said he has felt discomfort in the shoulder "pretty much the whole year," but was always able to work out the stiffness in his warm-up tosses. Such wasn't the case on Thursday, though, when he threw in his normal, between-starts bullpen session. After that, he decided to go to the coaching staff and let them in on the problem for the first time. "I felt fine," he said. "Everything was coming out the same. Once I get loose it's loose. But it's been taking forever (recently). I just knew that it didn't feel right. it was really sore. It was actually my last bullpen where i started getting really sore. i woke up the net morning and I was like, 'Man, doesn't feel great.'" Doesn't sound "mild" to me. In any case, from the beginning, not even JJ had ANY idea how long it might take to recover. This is like Baker (TJ surgery,) who late last season was just sure that he would be ready to go for spring training and said so on-air with Rich and Tommy. The FO was estimating maybe May or June. Now months past all predictions and he's still nowhere near ready to come back. Clearly, someone is incompetent or outright lying, right? Neither case is a matter of incompetence or deception, it's simply a matter of the human body being unpredictable despite the best efforts of everyone involved. If they didn't know what was wrong with him, they should have said exactly that. We don't know what is wrong with his shoulder and we don't know how long it will take for him to come back. Not, he should be back in 10 days or he should be back soon after the All-Star break. Therefore, they misled us. By the way, every quote you pointed out was what Johnson said, not the organization. I said the "organization" misled us, not Johnson.

JJ Out for Season
He went from mild shoulder soreness to out for the season. I don't know who I am more irritated with: JJ, for being as durable as a wet paper bag or the organization for misleading everyone into thinking it wasn't a serious problem. Why does anyone assume that any medical situation is cut and dried? Unfortunately, JJ tried to pitch through it. He finally admitted that his shoulder was sore and stiff and was placed on the DL with shoulder inflammation on 5-21, retroactive to 5-16. Expected to rest 10 days, resume throwing and return on 6-1. Shoulder remained sore during June, no progress, so on 6-29 he saw Dr. Andrews for an MRI. No structural damage, just inflammation. Got cortisone shot. Rest for two weeks and resume throwing, except it's still sore and he hasn't resumed any throwing at all to this day. Sometimes injuries don't respond as expected and the prognosis changes. Nothing is automatic when it comes to the human body. Except for JJ, nobody misled anyone about anything. Now, it will take him most of August to get back in form if he started throwing next week. For what? Maybe 4 or 5 starts in September? With the associated greater risk of a recurrence? Better to shut him down and have him at 100% for next year. They either misled everyone or they're incompetent. Take your pick. Again, MILD shoulder soreness to out for the season. That doesn't make sense either way you slice it.
