Also, PPP says that a greater percentage of Republicans are committed to voting for Romney than Democrats for Obama. So I think polling data shows Jimmy to be wrong on both accounts. In general, Republicans vote for their own nominee at a higher percentage than Democrats, so this is no surprise. But, in general, this is way too early to make any real assertions about the general election. Obama has yet to start campaigning. We'll see how things shake out once the Obama starts to spend his billion dollars or so.

Great pick up!! If Zambrano picks up some of his form we'll have a great rotation. If we add Cespedes we can use Boni as a super utility guy and still have great speed in the lineup with Reyes and Hanley.

Heat are stomping on the Bobcats. Norris Cole still looking good. Between Chalmers and Cole I like our PG position. We only have one area that is below league average and that is at center. If Eddy Curry can come in and produce 10-12 points and 7-8 boards to go along with Joel's defense I'd say we're average or better at every single position and significantly above average at 3 positions.

Looks good. However, watching him run I can tell he doesn't have nearly the speed of Hanley or Jose. Not even close. Could be a good signing or could be a bad one. We have the luxury of taking that risk now. I'd prefer a starting pitcher.

If the season started tomorrow I'd say the Clippers have a better team than the Lakers. The Rip Hamilton signing by the Bulls is legit and will improve that team. As a Heat fan, though, I still ain't scurred.

What pieces? They want young talent. Don't tell me the deal would be centered around Noah. They'd be better off dealing Howard to the Lakers for Bynum.

Looks like the Bulls are trying to make a run at Dwight Howard. Don't think they have the pieces to land him. My guess is he ends up either in LA or with the Nets. The CP3 deal to LA is off. In other news, there is a slight chance the Heat end up with Chauncey Billups, which would be awesome!

The headline on FoxSports.com to the Pujols article a few minutes ago said, "Pujols and Marlins ironing out details". The article itself said that the hold up right now is the no trade clause. Pujols wants one and the Marlins don't want to give it to him. It's not a question of money or Albert wanting to be a Marlin.

I believe Pujols had a limited no trade clause with the Cardinals... he listed a few teams among the exceptions... Marlins were on that list.

All I would want is Hanley hitting in front of Pujols. Hanley would see good pitches to hit quite often.

I agree with you. I still think we probably don't get him.

I am optimistic, but I have the feeling he won't sign with us. I think we'll give him an offer that will ultimately make him choose between two competitive offers (ours might be the best), but the fact that they want to know whether he's genuinely interested and are starting to press suggests the Marlins are not the leaders here.

Yep.. and the bulls desperately need a SG. Tons of names floating around. (Butler, Crawford, Young, Williams, TMac, etc). I think JRich would be a good fit and may be most realistic of the names mentioned I think a Butler would be a solid pick up for you guys. JRich, too. Would definitely make you a better team. One of the interesting things about this season to me will be seeing how the league adjusts to the Bulls. I think the league was caught off guard by the success of the Bulls last year - not because they're not a talented team, just because it happened a little sooner than people expected. Now the league will adjust. We'll see how the Bulls handle that adjustment. Either way I still have them in the ECF with the Heat.
