Baker is obsessed with veteran players and wouldn't give any more time to Choi after his injury...so injury coupled with Karros getting hot put him out of favor with the organization. And lets face it he's no sure thing and the Cubs wanted a proven, durable player and they will get that from Lee. While this is partially true, the Cubs are a very young team. And Choiw as effectionately known as "Big Choi" by Baker, and was one of his favorite guys on the team.

Im not satisfied with it. We could of gotten Bullpen help. LOL, not from the Cubs.

I trust Dusty 100%. I think he deserved Manager of the year (don't rip me up, it's not just because I'm a Cubs fan). You must remember that the Marlins were better than the Cubs last year. McKeon did a great job, but I just think what Dusty did was harder. He had to deal with Sammy's stuff, and with the loss of Patterson. And Patterson, by the way, was a biggger blow than Lowell, so don't spring that on me. Dusty is a great motivator. He is a good manager. I still believe Pudge will be in a Marlins uni in 2004. It's believable. ESPN predicts him coming norht though. What was the Cubs payroll this past season? How much is Lee going to hurt them in that regard? Can they afford Castillo and Pudge like these Cubs Maniacs want? I believe (don't quote me) that it was aroun 80-85 last year... BUT. W have had a 10 million dollar increase, along with the drop of salaries of Veres, guthrie, AlfonSUCKA, and Eric Karros.
