November 26, 200322 yr I know ppl are gonna flame me or w/e....But was i the only one that thought lee was like one of our better players and this team isnt the same without him? I mean i dont know how many games he won alone with game saving plays. He's durable playin in almost all our games the past 3 yrs..Is getting better everyyear slowly but surely and wut else do u want from him..hes fast and we just traded him to another team in the NL..This is gonna come back to get us ..I know his 7mill might be a lil bit much but why do u get players make them good to trade them for mediocre players? November 26, 200322 yr Author Hey ramp..can u ever be not so opinionated...this team is built around speed defense and pitching!! and lee can run and play D.And yes Miami15 was right he is the ultimate marlin who stuck with it in those horrible years for 7 mill these days with this market he is well worth it im my opinion..id rather have him for 7 mill than pudge for the 8 or 9 he wants..u can quote that.I love Lee and did everthing right! the cubs just got a whole lot better!

November 26, 200322 yr I also wanted to keep lee but look at his salary. It is too much for us....we are trying to dump some salary by trading Lee and Enc. He was getting better and better every year. I felt that if he stayed here one more year, he will start being consistant but he had to move on. At Least we got Choi. He has very good potential, and we have someone to back up lee ( Choi, and Conine)

November 26, 200322 yr I am going to miss Lee in that black and teal. Its not going to be the same with out him holding down first base. But I think it was the best for the team because this allows us to keep more important parts of the team. Also I dont think he would have improved much more unless he played in a hitters park or at least no PPS.

Doesn't matter how good he is, he's too much money for a small market club to keep if they want to keep most of the core of this club together.
