stop the complaining

I mean, c'mon

We just traded a player who is way too expensive for a great talent in Choi

This trade was necessary...this is not a firesale

When the sun rises tomorrow (believe me, it will) the fact will remain that we are the world champions and we still have the core of our team. What i cant believe is that most people hated Lee and now are pissed hes gone.

C'mon, everyone

We are (still) the champions

I'm not complaining. IMO, Hendry is an idiot for giving up his biggest prospect for Lee. The Marlins were vulnerable, and had to trade him for SOMETHING, or else it meant non-tendering him and getting nothing. They didn't have to give up someone as good as Hee-Seop, but they did anyway.

It's a great deal for both sides.

As for you, Espo, you guys have a great player in Derrek Lee, and you heard it here first: Derrek Lee will be more productive than Jim Thome in '04.

who complained?

no f***ing way

No one is complaining.

And I agree, Lee will blow up in Chicago - and I will be there to see it. But the Marlins will still be beating the Cubs next year when it matters.

i'm a fan of both teams. more the Cubs than the Marlins. good deal for both teams. slightly better for the Fish.

That's just too silly to even rip on... I'm in dumbstruck awe.

Anyway, traded D. Lee for Choi and the abilty to retain one or two quality core players. Sounds good to me.

But who to rip on next year in the game threads now that D. Lee is gone??? Quite a dilemma.

And then the aliens will land and we will all have to castrate ourselves before drinking the cool aid.

Well, whenever me and you differ in opinions, who has always been correct: the optimist or the pesimist?

I thought so...

If A-Gon is productive, nobody! :thumbup

"Cool aid" is spelled with a "K." :p

idiot for giving up his biggest prospect

Jason Dubois..Guzman, Mitre....

Not Choi.

Well, if both players are blowing up, that'd be cool.

Choi has the tools, he jsut needs things to click. It aint happenin yet.

geez, i wish the season would just start so we could see what'll happen!

hell yea espo(on the season starting thing)

im going nuts

well atleast Hoosier BBall has started-more heartbreak

Jason Dubois..Guzman, Mitre....

Not Choi.

Not according to every scouting report and Cubs Top 10 Prospects List I've read.

Man, they don't know what they're talking about. Trust me.

:D

OK, I'll take your opinion over Baseball America.

What do you expect? Everyone here complains about one thing or the other and are always arguing.......except when we win a World Series. ;)

That's the whole point of messege boards. To post your opinions.

Opinions conflict. That's life.
