FEMA Blocks Photos of New Orleans Dead
The easiest way is to keep the photographers off the recovery vehicles. They are under no legal obligation to take them along if they are not officially part of the recovery crew. They'll be able to take photographs of body bags being taken off the boats when they return to the staging area, but unless they are an official crew, they are not authorized to be there as the bodies are recovered..

FEMA Blocks Photos of New Orleans Dead
If you don't want the pictures published, how about you clean up the bodies like you're supposed to. 934428 I'll assume you mean picking up the corpses at an earlier time. The early search and rescue ventures into the flooded areas were to rescue those that were trapped. While I would have liked seeing the dead recovered, at that point you are trying to save those that still have a chance. They needed all the room they could get for the living. We already know that every level of government screwed up in a major way during this ordeal. There have been plenty of stories and pictures to back it up, I just don't think pictures of the dead are what is needed to tell the story.

FEMA Blocks Photos of New Orleans Dead
Publishing pictures of bodies that have been floating around in the water for a week? I can't believe the number of people on here that think there is nothing wrong with that. Show the dead a little respect. The numbers will tell the story just as well as a picture that disrespects lost souls, and torments grieving families.

HELP: Calling All Grounds crew!!!!
You know I wouldn't mind the Marlins going to an artificial turf. 925970 And you call yourself a baseball fan???????? :confused It's taken all these years to finally get all the turf out of the NL. It's grass. It sometimes gets chewed up. Live with it. (besides, if they went to turf, the 'fins wouldn't be able to blame a missed field goal on the infield dirt.)

We don't actually have a 'car.' I have an F-150, a Ranger, motorcycle, and my wife's Rav4.

Gas price check!
The Shell station at 186 and US 1 was out of regular and plus this morning, but received a shipment during the day. As it turned out, there was no real increase in price. Regular was at $2.67. 924159 That same Shell station was at $2.88 for regular this afternoon. $3.10 for premium.

Relationship question
I've been with my wife since the late '80's. If she came home tomorrow with a tattoo, I wouldn't love her any less. I might say, "WTF, over?" But I love the person, not the package. If the outside is all you consider, I hope this relationship is only based on having a good time, and not anything you think might last. JMO

Gas price check!
Homestead BP Station of 288st $2.85 $2.95 $3.05 923634 That particular BP station is ALWAYS high priced. I went past that station at 3pm and the premium was at $2.99, but that was the price listed for the other grades. The Shell station at 186 and US 1 was out of regular and plus this morning, but received a shipment during the day. As it turned out, there was no real increase in price. Regular was at $2.67.

Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort
The head of the Red Cross was on all the news programs asking that monetary donations be sent, rather than goods. They have a supply line to be able to purchase the items needed. Although I'm sure ANY type of donation will be greatly appreciated at this point in time.

A Miracle
One morning a man comes into the church on crutches. He stops in front of the holy water and splashes some of it on both of his legs, then throws away his crutches. An altar boy witnessed the scene and runs into the rectory to tell the priest what he'd just seen. Without batting an eye, the priest says, "Son, you've just witnessed a miracle. Tell me, where is this man?" "Flat on his ass, Father, over by the holy water."

Under the Bed
Bob went to a psychiatrist. "Doc," he said, "I've got trouble. Every time I get into bed, I think there's somebody under it. I'm going crazy." "Just put yourself in my hands for one year," said the shrink. "Come to me three times a week, and I'll cure your fears." "How much do you charge?" "A hundred dollars per visit." "I'll sleep on it," said Bob. Six months later, the doctor met Bob on the street. "Why didn't you ever come to see me again?" asked the psychiatrist. "For a hundred bucks a visit? A bartender cured me for $10." "Is that so? How?" "He told me to cut the legs off the bed!"
