My Take On Florida Driving

Featured Replies

Heh, You'll see me fly right by people. I usually go 75 - 100 in a 55 when the traffic allows.

Jburque, Alaska wasn't all that bad. They just shoot the street signs.

Drive slower in the left lane.

Make left or right turns from the Middle lane.

Green means STOP, Red means GO, Yellow means Speed Up.

Medians are EXTRA lanes.

When Merging to another lane... slow down so the driver on the other lane has to slow down aswell.

When making a left turn at a traffic light wait till the Yellow Arrow light comes on to make your turn.

Tailgating is cool!

Drive slow on High Speed Limits, Drive Faster on Slow Speed Limits.

Don't use Turn Signals

When mergering onto an expressway, make sure to swerve to left lane

This is exactly it. That just means you're not suppossed to be on that street. :D

My mom's then new car got hit in the back at 40 mph by some woman on the off ramp from the Palmetto to 56th St. The car that my mom was driving (Honda CR-V) had $300 in damage, the Buick Skylark that hit her was totalled. I don't get it, when she brought the Honda home i didn't see any damage, then I look under and saw what would have been the muffler.

Traffic is the main reason I now call Cape Coral, FL home.

Crazy, Flag-Waving Central Americans is the other. :p J/K

jburque is correct. Driving sucks everywhere. In Greenville, we make jokes about the Greenville Box--where you get stuck with a car going 10 under in front, to the left or right, and behind you. I see so much stupid stuff

- For sure on the drive slower in the left lane. It is a fond tradition.

- I think it's more of make any turn you want from any lane, including U-Turns from the middle lane (you won't believe how often I see that one)

- Green means go, yellow means go faster, and red means floor it!

- You know how convenient that median can be on the Expressway when it is clogged up? :hat

- Oh for sure, but don't just slow down, brake heavily when merging. Therefore three cars get backed up behind the other cars, and while they are trying to switch lanes those lanes are backed up as well.

- Naw, often they wait until the red.

- Tailgating is mandatory

- Abuelas are always at 55 MPH zones, teenages are always in school zones.

- Turn signals are against the law in Miami

- Swerve to left lane and then back to the right before staying in the middle

A couple more I think I should add (oh trust me, there are plenty more that I haven't mentioned):

- You have to switch lanes at least twice between every traffic light

- School Zones mean Go Faster

- Add 20 MPH to any speed limit sign

- When pedestrians are crossing the street, both the pedestrians and the car have right of way

- Crosswalks do not exist

- Jaywalking is compulsory

- The middle finger is the most used limb in the body

- Driving while not doing anything else (cellphone, playing with the stero, putting on makeup, eating, studying) is against the law

- If in an accident, the other person will not have car insurance

you forgot: if somebody hits you, immediately start grabbing at your neck and dont let go throughout the whole time there and start complaining about being incredibly sore.

i found that out the hard way

MAKE DRIVING AND TALKING ON THE PHONE ILLEGAL ... get a $200 fine for that ... people jsut cant drive when they are on their c-phones. If they are going 55 on a 70 to begin with than they'd go 40 if they are on the phone, its just not right.

its incredible ... ohh ohh ohh and make the age limit for driving at 70 ... maybe 75 if you are a pimp.

Talking on your celly while driving is already illegal. If a cop catches you on the phone, you get fined.

if you were heading to the 826 on 103rd in Hialeah around 11:30 this morning and some guy cut you off because traffic in his lane was stopped and then accelerated so he couldnt get in front of you and you honked like the b***h you are because it happened anyway... f*** you.

some people are a**holes, my god if traffic is totally stopped in one lane and youre taking your sweet time, be nice and let someone get out of that lane if theyre trying to. i dont have road rage, im a pleasant driver :thumbup

what you looking at?

*honks and flips off*

Oh my gosh, babe, 02Pac is worse than me! And then you say I am bad... :p

You two would kill each other if you happen to drive by each other.

i aint that bad... i just get pissed at times.

my favorite thing is tailgating on slow elderly drivers :lol

im playing...sometimes

I don't road rage. I have road anger, I simply tell them to get the hell out of my way and call them "comemierdas"

my grandpa would call them comemierdas, maricon de mierda, viejo or vieja de mierda, hijo de puta, estupido or estupida.

brings back sweet memories of trips to elementary school.

one time a deaf lady hit him (im not making this up) and he went off on her, he even mocked her deafness. funny s***, my grandpa's the best

LoL! "Comemierda" is my chosen term, ask Miriam. I sometimes will throw in an a$$wad.
