pierre
How do you think Pierre will do this season? He's a perfect base runner. He's a great bunter. So do you guys think he will continue to be as good as last year? On another note, does anyone know what song was played when J.P. went up to bat at Pro Player? jonnylons
I think he will be right back where he was last season. He looks well-prepared - even 'super' prepared. I watched him steal on Javy Lopez yesterday, and he got a good jump and an excellent slide to beat a great throw. His hitting is on too. I think he could steal more bases this season - if McKeon lets him. He certainly has to improve his ratio - got caught too many times. PBMarlin
If his success in ST is any indication, JP is going to have a tremendous year, possibly a career year. He is fast, real fast. His training at sprinter's school this winter will pay dividends. He has a great jump and improved speed. Besides all that he is a clubhouse leader. His tremendous work ethic is an inspiration to everyone else on the team. We need to sign him to a long term deal next year. IMO.

QuickGold
If he build on the tremendous improvement he had last year, it's gonna be great to watch him.

farmer_fran
at one point a scout for TSN actually wrote an article (back when P-Nut was a Rockie) that off all the players in the majors THIS was the kid who could hit .400 not that i am saying he will this year but ya neva kno Tony Gwynn was asked last year if there was one player that reminded him of himself in the way he hits the ball and he said Juan Pierre. I could see Pierre being a Tony Gwynn type player if he keeps on improving and I think he will battle for batting titles at some point at his career. From the day I first saw him at spring training last year I have been impressed.
KJC
he needs plate disipline actually he doest but it would help imagine if the kid walked 100 times along with his 175-200 hits he would be able to steal 100 bags
Wild Card
He'll walk a little more this season, and I see that average going up as well.
rferry
He'll bat .716, steal a thousand bases, and hit three home runs.
hot4beckett
He's gonna have no problem this year.
Shamrock
You're exagerating way too much. He'll never hit three home runs. lol
SorianoFanHFW
if juan starts taking steroids, his homerun total might increase by 80 percent. Imagine the production!

Ashley
I think Juan Pierre is the best player on our team mentally. You could just tell once he gets on that field that he's ready, and plays with all of his heart.

pierre
Thanks for all your thoughts. I can't wait to see him at ST against the Orioles the end of the month. Alex
