SlapHands69
I don't really know if anyone has made an official Darren Oliver thread but here goes. There are various threads about Darren Oliver so I decided to post a single thread that primarily focuses on Darren Oliver. Discuss amongst yourselves. CapeFish
Oliver is a fifth starter. Expect him just to exist to take up innings. He went 4 today, but left without trailing. He is just a filler until AJ returns. Expect no more.

Pavano was our 5th starter last year and he wasn't bad was he? Just because he's our number 5 does not give him a reason for sucking so bad. And averaging 5 innings per start isn't exactly eating up innings, which I would be satisfied with. Hey, I was an Oliver supporter at the beginning of the season. But now I've seen the error of my ways. :whistle
CapeFish
If Oliver is so bad, then you "geniuses" out there give us the "failsafe" replacement until AJ returns.

Cape you could do better than Oliver right now so could Tejera, Howard, Borland, Beinfest, Bonds, Hutchinson, Teixiera and Millar
Libelula
If Oliver is so bad, then you "geniuses" out there give us the "failsafe" replacement until AJ returns. Lmao. IT'S NOT OUR JOB TO PITCH OUT THERE. It's his job and he's not doing it well.

Ramp
Tejera could do better. Hutchingson could do better. Howard could do better. do I need to keep going?.... Oliver sucks.
miami15
Oliver is not pitching at the Major League level. An ERA of about 5 is acceptable but getting rocked every night isn't. He can't pitch in the Big Leagues.
Das Texan
when did oliver become a big name. what do you want genius? a superstar? go back to weather forecasting, traffic plans and stadium blabber...at least you sound semi-intelligent there. Hugg
Tejera could do better. Hutchingson could do better. Howard could do better. How come they couldn't make it out of Spring Training? Who cares about spring training now? Oliver has an 8+ ERA and has gotten rocked in his last 4 starts.

CapeFish
um.... howard wasnt on the team in the spring. you began the insults with 'geniuses' It isn't an insult "genius," quit stalling and give me a name of one player in our system that could come in and fill in about 5-6 more starts better than Oliver? Michael Tejera would do better than an 8 ERA. Question answered.
TSwift25
No big names yet. All I see is sarcasm. Wayne and Tejera jump to mind (although I'd rather leave Wayne in the pen). If we want someone to simply go 4 - 5 ineffective innings there are a lot of guys at the AAA level waiting for the chance...
