I don't really know if anyone has made an official Darren Oliver thread but here goes. There are various threads about Darren Oliver so I decided to post a single thread that primarily focuses on Darren Oliver. Discuss amongst yourselves.

Stop all this "He's our 5th starter" crap. Pavano was our 5th starter last year and he wasn't bad was he? Just because he's our number 5 does not give him a reason for sucking so bad.

I'd rather have someone that gives us a chance to win without having to score 8 runs in the first 4 innings.

 

And averaging 5 innings per start isn't exactly eating up innings, which I would be satisfied with.

Oliver is not pitching at the Major League level. An ERA of about 5 is acceptable but getting rocked every night isn't. He can't pitch in the Big Leagues.
