Did anyone ever notice Miguel Cabrera chewing something and spitting out black.

 

Didn't they make a rule about tobacco not to be chewed on the fields?

Ummm... Half my high school baseball team dips. Young players dipping ain't uncommon. Hell, most start when they're about 15-17 anyways.

 

But I'm pretty sure Miguel eats sunflower seeds. He always (or at least used to) had a bag of them in his back pocket. I remember one time during the national anthem when he stuffed his face with them.

it's probably just some Levi Garrett (a brand of chew)....it's like candy almost! It sure isn't dip...playing with a buzz is not the smartest thing in the world...

His bottom lip started bleeding from dipping, so he had to start dipping in his UPPER lip.

Why, though? If I had to, I would choose lung cancer, although I admit I don't know the exact fatality rate of either.

 

All things being equal (let's say there's no malignancy), I would rather the damage be...you know...internal.

I dont think Miggy Chews Tobacco, have you ever seen the size ball he has in his mouth, no one who dips puts that amount of tobacco in his mouth, I think its chewing gum, I could be wrong but thats my opinion, someone should e-mail Craig Minervini and ask him lol.
