Replacing Beckett in the rotation will be A.J. Burnett, who will be activated off the 60-day DL and make his first start on Thursday against the Mets at Shea Stadium. The Marlins are expected to call up right-hander Ben Howard from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

AJ replaced Beckett. Who does Howard replace?

Ben Howard...FINALLY!

Who he replaces is a good question though, maybe we'll waive Oliver.

Are they going to activate AJ tomorrow or wait until Thursday. If they wait until Thursday, they can send Howard right back down if they want.

Gator must have nailed it....Howard replaces Beckett....AJ replaces SOMEONE Thursday.

Nate Bump or Admin Sutton

I think you are right

Hopefuly the Rockies take Oliver for a bucket of warm ups balls

basically an era of 3.96, a whip of 1.40, and 7.92 K/9 in 25 innings of work. not spectacular, but we might as well get some work out of him for the next couple of games before we have to make a decision.

KO, Ha.

didn't howard pitch during ST? if so, what were his numbers?

Does it matter?

Abe Nunez hit in ST

No, we didn't see Howard in ST this year. We got him in the trade with Blane Neal.

I thought all Beckett had was a blister...?

Blisters take time to heal, and even when the blister is all healed up the skin will be sensitive until Josh builds up callus' on his fingers.

AJ replaced Beckett. Who does Howard replace?

If im not mistaken AJ was put on the 15-day DL a while back

I really dont see the point of putting Beckett on the 15 day DL unless Cordero goes on the 60-day and we drop Sutton to AAA and Oliver is either released/traded ... all of this is because AJ is coming back

im confused :confused

I hope Howard replaces Oliver and A.J. replaces Beckett. Than when Beckett comes back he can replace Howard or Sutton(I think Bump can get it done). I'll be happy as long as DO is the 1st man gone.
