June 1, 200422 yr IMO if Red still cant play and nobody from the minors have been called up, JACK should put Mordecai as catcher. :mischief2 He cant be any worse than Castro. :confused

June 1, 200422 yr not a good idea,the catcher position is the hardest to play imo...if you dont have constant practice it can be a nightmare especially with the speed our guys throw...

Mordi was only used for a couple of innings. ... this is not a good idea
June 1, 200422 yr this may be crazy, but I would try Harris as a catcher instead of Mordi. are you out of your mind?? no way dud e, Harri's knees wouldn't be able to take the punishment! Second, Mordecai is an EMERGENCY catcher, as long as Castro can play, there's no EMERGENCY, sad but true. Catcher is a very tough position, it's not easy catching 90 m/h fastballs. As long as either Red comes back or the FO makes a change, Castro will be the catcher.

Probably next to zero, so I can't really say it would work. The position is too risky. Errors are awfully costly behind the plate.
