I smoke maybe 2-3 a day, only at work, not at home or in the car... but I am a fiend at parties! :thumbup

No I don't smoke. And I will hopefully never smoke. Some girls who were learning about how smoking is bad and everything from UM came to my school in the middle of the year and they told us a lot of stuff about smoking. One of the most important things that they told us was that even if you don't breath it in it is still bad. And a lot of people think that its alright because its not going to hurt them but there is no way that you can smoke without it hurting you. And its also addictive-once you start you cant stop. They showed us a video and there was this guy who said that he knows that he is going to die from smoking but he still isnt going to stop. So the most important thing to do is not even start because once you start it is very hard to stop and a lot of people say-ok I'm not going to stop smoking right now but they just cant stop themselves. So if you dont smoke yet-dont start.

I have smoked for awhile and am yet to have a craving for a cigarette. I simply smoke because I enjoy it. It will stay that way or else I will stop, plain and simple. I know that the day I "need" a cig is the red flag that a habit has gone too far.

ive never smoked. the habit is disgusting to me and i had a lung problem in the past so im definetly not about to put myself at risk for something else.

 

my grandparents both used to smoke for a long time but quit.

I know 3 smokers that have died from lung cancer since January. Been a rough year...

I can't believe that all these companies advertise cigars...ect. and they make people die. I mean I know that they sell them to make money but come on!...Its not right to make money off of people when people die because of it! I think its disgusting and I have no respect for those people who make money off of selling cigars...etc. Its not right!

Cigarettes are beyond disgusting.

But whoever advertises smoking is a very bad person. And even though he isnt literally killing them-in reality he really is. Companies that selll cigars...etc. should get sued if someone dies from them IMO. I hope they run out of business but it seems like they will never run out of business because there are so many people that smoke! But according to the law I think that they should make something so that they cant sell cigars and the like.

Yup, I know what you mean-It smells horrible also. Its also worse to smell it than to actually do it. Because when you smell it-it goes all around your body. But when you smoke it-you can make it just go in one spot. But still: there is NOTHING good about smoking.

Yeah, but from what I've heard, you could get addicted and it could turn into 20 a day. It doesn't start with 20, it adds up.

Look, I got very sick from breathing in all that smoke when I was younger on a cruise ship and I tell you right now, smoking I can understand for much older people who didn't know and have been addicted, but for someone young, it makes absolutely no sense. It is the dirtiest habit on the earth.

The tobacco industry however, does make a lot of money off of addicted people, even though it's harmful to them.

But the Starbucks industry, which I work for, is just as guilty. As a matter of fact, it's a lot more expensive than the tobacco addiction, yet nobody cries out about that. :mischief2
