June 26, 200422 yr Hell of a game! The man is back. Hopefully everyone on the starting lineup gives you an apology for their pathetic performance.
June 26, 200422 yr No offense to Brazelton, but AJ was the best pitcher out there tonight. Talking after the game, T-Money said in his last 20 innings (last three starts): 7 hits, 4 runs, 2 runs scored by the offense while he is in the game. Harsh.
June 26, 200422 yr The team has only given AJ 2 runs in 29.1 innings of work. They have lost all 5 of his games. That is a bunch of cr*p. AJ should be 4-1 right now given the way he has pitched. I feel real bad for AJ. He deserves much better than this from the guys after working so hard to come back. It must be just as tough for him to hold back his frustration.
June 26, 200422 yr Can we please do something? Start Treanor more maybe? Call Dillon up already? Who cares if his defense isn't there yet, defense means squat when you can't score a single damn run. We are the Dodgers of 04
June 26, 200422 yr Author I hope to see something in the paper about AJ ripping into his teammates tomorrow. This can't be tolerated.
June 26, 200422 yr I didnt see the game but giving up no runs after 6 innings is pretty impressive on only his 5th major league start this season. His past 2 starts have been very good, and this one also. I guess we are starting to see the old AJ Back. Now go get a bat and a reliever and we will be fine.
June 26, 200422 yr No offense to Brazelton, but AJ was the best pitcher out there tonight. 1. Brazelton won the game. 2. Brazelton had a no hitter through 7.2 innings. Brazelton tonight >>>> Burnett tonight. Ok, now that I have corrected that nonsense comment, let me say that it appears AJ had another great outing and he is back. Too bad the offense isn't helping him at all.
June 26, 200422 yr Great Job AJ. The stuff was effective and real pretty! :thumbup It just sucks about the total lack of run support. :mad : Free Choi!!

June 26, 200422 yr AJ threw only 89 pitches in 8 innings......that is amazing for a power pitcher. 5K's, 1 BB, 3 hits. The Rays scored their only runs by playing small ball, in the only opening AJ gave them in the game.

June 26, 200422 yr That is why you haven't won a World Series in a bazillion years And it's four words, not two
June 26, 200422 yr That is why you haven't won a World Series in a bazillion years Yep..... A White Sox FAN saying that the score is the most important thing is why we haven't won a world series in a long time. Please.....that's just stupid. Oh, and Kanye said that, not me, so your talking to the wrong person.

Burnett lost, and gave up 2 runs. I'd say Brazelton had the better night. Oh, and I cannot believe I'm having this argument with such normally intelligent people.
June 26, 200422 yr No doubt Brazelton had a good night. He kept our hitters off balance by being just wild enough to keep them guessing. He kept pounding the strike zone with change ups. Only a few times did he ever throw a fast ball over the plate. He was doing a great job keeping it low and away. Now, on our side, we kept looking for the fast ball that rarely came. If the guys had starting waiting on the change up they would have had a field day.

No, AJ was the right pitcher with the wrong offense. :plain
June 26, 200422 yr AJ was on, they scored on questionable circumstances. For example, the batter lunged towards that ball to get on base. Instead of man on third and a batter up, AJ had two on and the batter up.
