Time to make a statement...

Featured Replies

Castillo does not cover 2B on a ground ball to SS? Things that bad that staying awake and in the game is for 9 innings is to much for Luis?

I'd play Mordy and/or Easley at 2B for the rest of this series.

A statement needs to be made...you stay in the game and execute the basics of the game or someone else plays.

hogwash

so he was pickin his nose, luckily it didnt cost us and he is one of our decent bats right now

he needs to stay in the lineup

take ur right hand and put it across ur right cheek. :nono

Luiy has been the only one with a productive bat most of the year.

You don't bench him.

And you certainly don't bench him for Mordi/Easley/Harris. Half the reason we're struggling is because we've been playing bench players way too much.

1st inning runs

1 or 2 will suffice for the first inning

thats what got us going last year

Problem is Pierre is not getting on base, and when he gets on base, he tries to steal and gets caught by a mile. I think that broken pinky during spring training has messed up his confidence because even during spring training he was stealing them easily.

Pierre's not getting the same lead. More to do with the leaning technique taught at the Cris Carter speed camp than the broken pinky.

Castillo doesnt need to be benched.

He is hitting .283, which is awesome IMO.

.283 is underachieving for Castillo. He needs a rest, but Jack shouldn't give him one considering the all star break will be here soon and also for all we know his leg could really be hurting him again.

Agreed that Luis did not look sharp tonight. Muffed a possible play on Crawford that bounce off Pavano....didn't cover 2nd thinking Alex was going to 1st with the throw.

To his benefit, he did work with Alex to turn a nice DP.

He'll be alright.

Luis is not into the games...and neither is almost everybody else on this team. the All Star Break cannot come soon enough.
