July 6, 200422 yr OMG DT, you can't take a joke. The D-Rays start winning and you get all touchy. 442880 OMG Cape, you can't take a joke. You start posting these stupid threads advising power pitchers to throw knuckle balls and you get all touchy... :plain

July 6, 200422 yr Is this just a call up till the All-Star break or does it go beyond that? I doubt the Marlins will want to keep just 11 pitchers long term. What happens next?

July 6, 200422 yr He better either play C or LF. But NOT 1B - that belongs to Choi and now, Conine. Platoon him in LF or just work him in as backup to Treanor while Red goes on the DL or chills out in the hot tub at JRS. Well, looks like any big time deals that were coming down the line just got shot to hell...

July 6, 200422 yr What are Willingham's RISP numbers? 443194 Uinfortunately, the Souther League doesn't post RISP stats. I'm not sure where you could find those stats.
July 6, 200422 yr RISP are rarely consistent from year to year or even month to month. Add in moving to a tougher league and having a whole new team batting around you and there's no way you translate the numbers. [ WARNING: THIS MEANS CRAP! ] His 2003 numbers with Jupiter: .189, 2 HRs, 18 RBIs in 53 at bats. [ / WARNING: THIS MEANS CRAP! ]
July 6, 200422 yr Of course this argument has been brought up before, but am I the only one that is worried if Willy comes up and flops, it will effect him at the minor league level if/when he goes back? This seems to be an act of desperation - or mere curiosity. It has been said he is not defensively ready, so you got to wonder how much PT he will get. With that being the case, this is officially panic mode. Well, at least until the all star break...
July 6, 200422 yr yes!!!!!!! well im going to the game tommorow so please let him start . they let willis and cabs and aguila start there first game in the minors so let him start 442846 But with Willis going tonight, it might be better for Trainor to catch him....would not want to allow passed balls for scores. But Jack should let Josh pinch hit tonight, to clear his nerves for tomorrow's start....get all the first-game jitters out of the way. I guess Joe Dillon is next on the callup list....the Fish are really racking up Frequent Flyer miles with these call ups and send downs this season.
