July 8, 200421 yr Seriously. WTF. You don't send a runner that late in the game. We could've had the lead with one swing of the bat with Willy. Miggy looked to be running so slow too....cringe-worthy.
July 8, 200421 yr WTF Ozzie Guillen bum f*cked last year many times not sure if I saw any fire ozzie threads but hey maybe there were.. uggh this is sad.. the what have you done for me lately fans..
July 8, 200421 yr not sure why Cabs wasnt running hard the whole time he is to blame just as much as Cox
July 8, 200421 yr THERE IS NO SECOND GUESSING IN BASEBALL.. - wayne rosenthal , marlins pitching coach
July 8, 200421 yr Author WTF Ozzie Guillen bum f*cked last year many times not sure if I saw any fire ozzie threads but hey maybe there were.. uggh this is sad.. the what have you done for me lately fans.. 446011 There is a difference between being aggressive like Guillen and just plain stupid like Cox.
July 8, 200421 yr THERE IS NO SECOND GUESSING IN BASEBALL.. - wayne rosenthal , marlins pitching coach 446026Â But there is plenty of second-guessing on message boards... - minus_13Â ps. wrong call to send him...
July 8, 200421 yr It might be time to make some changes, maybe not fire, but something needs to be done. Cox has made some terrible calls
July 8, 200421 yr not sure why Cabs wasnt running hard the whole time he is to blame just as much as Cox 446017 Agree. Looked like Cabs was coasting from 2nd to 3rd. Cox should have seen how far behind he was and never sent him though. Cabs was only 1/2 way to home when Kendall got the ball......so clearly poor judgement by Cox.
July 8, 200421 yr That was the last straw. The guy is an Idiot! :banghead 445994Â That's my thoughts exactly.
July 8, 200421 yr not sure why Cabs wasnt running hard the whole time he is to blame just as much as Cox 446017 he's just to slow to score from first, he was out by a mile, he should've been held at fthird. the same thing has happened before with Cabs, when will they learn he's just not fast enough, if he's being waived he's gonna try and score but he should've been held.
July 8, 200421 yr cox has had his share of brain farts this year. he should stick around but robinson must go
July 8, 200421 yr That play happened so fast, I blinked and we were out of the inning! So I have no comment!
July 8, 200421 yr That play happened so fast, I blinked and we were out of the inning! So I have no comment! 446243 yet you posted anyway :thumbup
July 8, 200421 yr I am still in complete shock that he sent him. I was sitting right there and could tell that there was no way he was going to score. When I saw Cox waving his arm to send him, I couldn't believe what I was seeing......It almost seemed like Miguel was 1/4 of the way there by the time Kendall had the ball.....That was absolutely horrible.... And I know Easley had a decent game, minus the error....But you NEVER EVER end the game with the bat on your shoulder. It's not even like he was fooled by a good breaking ball. It was a fastball way too close to take with 2 strikes and the game on the line.... Whatever....I'm going to bed....
July 8, 200421 yr I don't agree with them sending him, but then again, it required a perfect play from Hill to Kendall and it was made.
July 8, 200421 yr I don't agree with them sending him, but then again, it required a perfect play from Hill to Kendall and it was made. 446355Â Not really.....I think the throw could have been bad and Kendall would have still had time to come back and make the time....And this isn't a Sunday softball league. Most of the time, these guys will make a good throw...They're professionals.
July 8, 200421 yr This is the second time in the past week Cox sent a runner that was easily thrown out at the plate. He just needs to be a little more conservative and everything will be fine.
July 8, 200421 yr I remember when last year Ozzie Guillen made some bad moves as well, but Jeff Cox is our base stealing coach as well and he jumpstarted that part of our game last year.
July 8, 200421 yr That play happened so fast, I blinked and we were out of the inning! So I have no comment! 446243Â Me too.
July 8, 200421 yr I was there and there was no way that Cabrera would have made it safe. Perfect throw or not
July 8, 200421 yr I think its Cox's job to know that Miguel isnt the fastest of guys, and shouldnt be taking big chances with him on the bases.
