Posted July 10, 200420 yr At what point would you guys throw in the towel for the year (5 games out, 10 games etc)? What about management? I only say this because we need lightning to strike for a run, because this team's hitting talent is marginal at best, and our farm system is depleted.
July 10, 200420 yr considering that this year is going to be our best chance at going anywhere in the near future i would think that we would really have to fall out of it bad for us to give up

We'll probably lose one of our starting pitchers next year, but we have replacements that are more than capable in Nate Bump or Bill Murphy. The two centerpieces in our lineup, Choi and Cabrera are very young and are going to get better. And we also have some stud pitching prospects that could be ready in 2 years. Not to mention Jeremy Hermida who I think we'll be an all-star caliber player. We'll be just fine for the next couple of years.
July 10, 200420 yr We're not even close to sell mode especially when the first place team gets shutout by Mike Friggin Hampton
