Dude dont put Blalock and Holmes in the same damn sentence.

Holmes is your offense.

And dont F***ing call me a moron again.

Because your the immature one who is gloating over the fact that your star isnt retiring.

Have some class, something that you seem not to have, and just sympathize

Not just Dolphin fans but all football fans should be disappointed by this. We're all going to miss out on the prime of one of the most talented running backs in the game.

Remember how much Ricky LOVED Miami and all that jazz 2 years ago? He said this was the perfect place for him and all that crap. Now he's selling his house and moving the hell out? Something's up with this guy. Maybe he stopped taking his meds. A lot of this doesn't make sense. Unless he's scared to live here now.

I say good bye, so long, don't choke on your bong.

We haven't made the playoffs with him, maybe this is what the Dolphins need to start realizing their game needs improvement.

So does this open Cap room or his numbers still on the books for this season?

Should open cap room.

After making a stupid decision, in retiring, he has actually made a smart decision.

If he didnt move out of the country he would be one of the most hated people in the US.

i'd bet money he'll be back to football after his contract is up.

i'll wait til then to pray he gets his ass beat in a dark alley.

We'll have a ton of money in 2005.

Anyone think the Fins might now make a play for a RB by trading Ogunleye? I think a Michael Bennett for Adewale Ogunleye would be decent. Maybe even an Ogunleye for Stephen Jackson.

agreed, it's really a shame.

his heart wasn't into it, what can ya do but it's just the fact of how he basically left the whole franchise and fan base hanging especially with a season creeping up. wrong way to leave.

Ya

I would understand if he wasnt under contract or even if he made his decision after the season ended, but the fact that training camp was so close and that he notified no one just enrages me (and im not even a phins fan)

I don't want to hear from him again. I hope he stays true to his word, and we never see him or hear about him again. If he wants to be anonymous, he better stay anonymous. He better not attempt a comeback ever.

The Cap thing won't help til next year, I figure. I mean who the hell is left out there.

Trying to look at the positive:

I've been calling for more playing time for Minor for two years now. I really like him, and I think he has a good chance to be a better than average starting RB. He's really hard to tackle in the open field. Ricky couldn't make anything of a screen, but Minor should be able to.

And the running game has become secondary to the passing game in the NFL. The successful teams these days are throwing. Maybe we'll open things up, and maybe it will help us.

thats a great idea

Man this is just depressing, what a terrible sports day. I'm just waiting for the Pavano and Benitez trade to top it all off.

This just seems so surreal. Strange...

Ogunleye is an important part of our defense and I think will continue to be a beast. I'd like to go out and look for some talent off someone's bench, i.e. A.J. Feeley style.

Wow, what a p***y.

I just saw it on the bottom line watching "Cheap Seats" on Classic and about sh*t my pants.

First I found it hysterical because I'm a Packers fan. But then I realized the NFL is losing a bonafide talent and that the Dolphins are fu*ked.

I honestly feel bad for you guys.

I think San Francisco is the worst team so I'll go easier on it...

"With the 2nd selection in the 2005 NFL Draft the Miami Dolphins select..."

But I'm hearing rumors on a bunch of NFL fan boards that the Dolphins are going to approach Green Bay with a High Draft Choice for none other then former Hurricane...

NAJEH DAVENPORT and I pray to God it isn't true. Because Najeh's become a cult figure around here.

But now what do the Dolphins do? Trade their 1st Rounder for a RB and be the same 8-8/9-7/10-6 team they always are, or take the blow of Williams internally and stink it up?

I mean this is friggin terrible for you guys, he (Ricky) could've timed this a little better, like say before the draft or free agency.

Not right before camp!

I think RW has enough $$$ to last him a while.

But I think the more interesting question isn't if he'll come back, or why'd he quit,

but what are the Dolphins going to do in response to Ricky's quitting?

Choke in December.

Well the Fins may be so bad that they may not have the opportunity to choke in December and will instead have to settle for choking in the August heat of training camp or in September.

But will rumors of getting a more then qualified young back who's a #2 on their team for a high draft pick be true?

I've heard names like Najeh, Onterrio Smith, Deshuan Foster, Anthony Thomas, and a few others floated around...
