Im not a dolphin and I care tremendously. He has just betrayed his team, team mates and south florida.

 

What Ricky just did is something that either you can say "wow this guy knows what he wants in life and isnt scared of making decisions that will change his life tremendoesly" or "wow this guy is a total prick."

 

I think hes a prick. Something I have learned from playing sports in my life is that you dont betray your teammates. If you are being depended on by your teammates, coaches, and organization you dont do something for yourself.

 

When you signed your contract you said that you will play and risk your body for this team and sport at least until your contract expires. You cant just in the middle of a contract say that your going to quit. You have just let down your fans, coaches, and most importantly your teammates who also have risked their bodies for this organization.

 

What Ricky did is something that I will never forgive because it is something that is just unsportsmanlike.

 

PLAIN AND SIMPLE: YOU DONT BETRAY YOUR TEAMMATES!! PERIOD

I'm pissed at Ricky. How can you not be? The timing of this is terrible. I mean he just screwed over an entire organization, and hundreds of thousands of fans. Look, if the guy doesn't want to play, what can you do? He shouldn't have to play football. I would have been upset had he retired at the end of last year, but it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. Frankly, his heart wasn't in it last year. He was so lazy.

 

Two years ago he had a website and got all this press about how he was fighting through his social anxiety; now he's let it get the best of him. I'm sure he'll spin it another way, but bottom line, he lost the fight. Now he can go crawl in a hole.

I don't think I have ever been this disappointed in an individual player...this is just depressing, will anything go right for this franchise? Damn. How can you do that to your team? But that was one of the first things I thought about. Whether any of this would have happened without that goofy bastard as the head coach. I'm going to say no.
