July 30, 200421 yr Man I'm really sick of people bringing up rbis to show how much value a player has. 484743 you don't think RBIs count for anything? how do you think runs are scored? think players magically cross home plate? They NEED TO BE KNOCKED IN. 484753 RBIs is more who's batting in front of you. You bat in front of a Bonds or a Pujols the entire year, you'll probably get 100 RBIs easily 484770 precisely, now who'll be hitting in front of him? pierre, castillo, lo duca, cabrera, lowell, conine . Last year he proved that if he has ducks on hte pond he'll bring them home. he'll do it again this year.
July 31, 200421 yr GUYS THEIR IS ALSO A DEAL IN THE WORK WHERE WE SHALL BRING IN A 5TH STARTER AND Admin WALKER WAS MENTIONED BY LEN AND TOMMY........MAYBE IT WONT BE SO BAD......

Marlins got PWNED... :plain
July 31, 200421 yr The moment I heard this crap on the radio I've been so pissed off. I feel like crying.

July 31, 200421 yr I think Randy is going to Boston with some prospects from FLA and Boston going to Arizona for Lowe. I just have a feeling...
July 31, 200421 yr My Question is: Why the f*** give up Hee Seop? He is most likely going to be a huge bat in LA's lineup now, and even better, much better, in the years to come, he had so much upside and potential, and you trade him away and leave us with Jason Stokes, an un MLB ready prospect who get's injured every other week. I would've been happy with this trade to give up conine or someone else, besides hee seop, he's just too young, too good. I don't see how you deem Scott Olsen untouchable, but not Hee Seop. It just boggles my mind. I don't know what got into beinfest, and hopefully im wrong, but how i see it, this trade sucks. On a different note, Mota is the best setup guy in ML, IMO, but will not be a good closer. Very much like octavio dotel, i think. He's a stud tho, no doubt about it.

July 31, 200421 yr GUYS THEIR IS ALSO A DEAL IN THE WORK WHERE WE SHALL BRING IN A 5TH STARTER AND Admin WALKER WAS MENTIONED BY LEN AND TOMMY........MAYBE IT WONT BE SO BAD...... 484834 I don't know why I have the feeling that this might be the beginning of another major trade. Remember the Yankees want Randy Johnson and the Marlins have been interested in Jose Contreras. We still have Stokes plus others that we could send to Arizona in another 3 team deal, and we get Contreras in the process. Or we do the trade with Colorado and bring Admin Walker. Whatever the deal is, I will feel better about parting with Choi if we get another SP and Walker. What pisses me off is that we just traded for a 32 year old catcher who is not a HOF material when we already had one in Pudge, well... that's what happens when you don't have 10 million extra to spend a year and have to rely on someone by the name of Ramon Castro... :confused
July 31, 200421 yr Why would we want Lowe? We gave a lot to LA for two free agents and Encarnacion, and have little to trade for a starter and Walker.
July 31, 200421 yr Why would we want Lowe? We gave a lot to LA for two free agents and Encarnacion, and have little to trade for a starter and Walker. 484883 We ruined our current team. We might as well ruin our farm system now too.

If we trade stokes, well, um, first base is done for the future. Unless Miguel learns position #5, which i wouldnt be too surprised to see, if that's the case

RBI is the most useless stat and comes off of the smallest sample size of ABs imaginable...the statistical significance is almost nil even if the players ahead are identical. i don't care how you cut it, juan encarnacion is a marked downgrade from hee seop choi offensively.

July 31, 200421 yr not to mention the ages Hee Seop is better than Enc NOW, imagine how much better he'll be in the future 484905 There's also the little fact that Choi is a little more than $4 million cheaper than EnC.
July 31, 200421 yr good trade ... we fill the holes and we got a star in the making in Mota i dont get it with you people
