I kind of understand trading Brad Penny for more bullpen help and a catcher... but why trade Choi for another outfielder? Our outfeild is fine... and now we have a hole at first! Can somebody please fill me in.

Let encarnacion stay. The marlins are not going to get walker. Boston has more money than us, they will get him.

I dont know how anyone can say we got raped in this deal.. Yes we lost a stud in penny, and we lost choi( which i dont think is so tragic like most on this board do).

But to get an absolute stud setup man and an allstar catcher is awesome.. Im leaving the Enc portion out cause i dont think were done wheeling and dealing yet, but even if another trade dosnt go down im still excited about what we got.

 

We got an awesome setup man and an all-star catcher, that was are main weakness, and we addressed it perfectly. Im going to miss penny alot but i wont miss choi that much.. he had something like 8 home runs in the first couple weeks and hasnt done much since. Yeah he had a big 3run homerun against philly and he has a lot of potential, but he still has a lot to work on..(Im going to get alot of s*** for that comment but hey i dont get all the choi love.) I have been a huge marlin fan since the start and now live in chicago. I know he was good but come on to say we got raped cause choi is gone..just dont get it...Maybe its all the cubs fans wearing off on me, cause most everyone here thought he was garbage. I follow the marlins mostly on cbssportsline game tracker so i cant get the whole scope on how the fans interact with choi but come on, we did not get raped.

 

Im happy to say im moving back to florida so I get to see all the marlins games now.

good one more person going to games, seriously we need more than 12,00-14,000 a night man, now wit new people hopefully we get 20,000-22,000. i saw a high light from april. man the seats were filled. im talking 40-50,000. it was good to see, but now all the bandwagons left. so back to the 14,000 sadly.
