August 2, 200421 yr I just got back from Alabama and my team is complelty different. I was just wondering how long we have these players, expecailly Lo Duca.
August 2, 200421 yr I thought Lo Duca was definitely a free agent. 490095 you may be right...

August 2, 200421 yr Lo Duca, who is earning $4.1 million this season, could also double his salary through arbitration. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5561958/

After those three present their cases, LoDuca's salary should probably but cut in half. :thumbup

I think about $5 million would be reasonable for Lo Duca. If we weren't willing to pay $8 million to a 26 year old rising star pitcher, why would we give it to a 33 year old catcher who puts up only above average numbers for his position.

Even if he doesn't double it he's sure to get at least 6. and why would they pay Lo Duca 6 or 7 when they barely offered 8 for the best catcher in baseball at the same age?

Not worth $8 million though. 490140 I agree - not worth $8 million. However he does have more flexibility (position wise) than Pudge and does not have the injury history. Also, the alternatives behing the plate for the Marlins are slim. I think $6 million a year is more realistic. I hope we can sign he to a long tern deal.

August 2, 200421 yr we need to sign Lo Duca because if we dont we are going to be in the same mess we were in the beginning of the season with no catcher.....who would we get if we dont sign Lo Duca......Castro LOL Lopez signed for a while Pudge signed for a while Kendall signed for a while big contract estrada braves wont let him go leiberthal sucks CJ signed and sucks Pizza 1B and signed big money V.Martinez riiiiiight young and getting paid nothing and still has years left before become a FA Name me a catcher that we can sign for less then Lo Duca and that is better then him.
