August 3, 200421 yr How often did Choi even get to hit lefties??? Like 4 times this season or something... sheesh stop the hating! I'm not complaining about the trade, i just miss him... i understand what they are trying to do though. 490176 damn ur crazy...other manager put choi vs lefties as soon as they got a chance 491188 what?
August 3, 200421 yr Choi was better than expected, but this move needed to be made and now allows Beinfest greater freedoms.
August 3, 200421 yr If there was a way to have kept Choi, it wouldn't have hurt my feelings. Sure he struck out too much and didn't hit lefties well, but he was a work in progress. In a few years I think that he will have progressed to be a polished player. I wish him well either way because he donned that Marlins teal, he'll always be a Marlin to me. That said I'm glad that suck a$$ Nunez is gone!!
August 3, 200421 yr That said I'm glad that suck a$$ Nunez is gone!! 491205 That only thing I regret is that we'll never be able to use this picture again.

August 3, 200421 yr but hey, we can use this one alot more 491225 At least we could have fun with Nunez's futility. :lol
August 3, 200421 yr Choi was really contribuing with his Huge Walks....and 33 rbi's 491039 Of course you know Choi was like 5th or 6th from the bottom of the list of all major league players in coming to bat with a runner on.... It would seem to me, if there's usually nobody on when you come to bat, the only way to get an RBI is to hit a home run. Who's fault is it that there's nobody on base when he comes to bat? Correct me if I'm wrong... 491370 you're 100% correct, and were you just listening to QAM like 3 hrs ago?
August 3, 200421 yr Choi is a fine, young hitter. He makes me think of Palmeiro - another ex-Cub 1B. I support this trade, but I would have liked to have kept Choi. Calling Enc an upgrade though is true, although very slight and not necessarily so for the long run.
August 3, 200421 yr We didn't trade Choi because he was a bust, rather LA WANTED him because of his attributes and what they think will be a terrific future. I'm sure it wasn't Admin Beinfest's first choice to jettison Hee Seop, in some way Podesta making him part of the trade speaks very well of the guy.
