Question 4 All

Featured Replies

Why did Jack put in the new guy w/o ever seeing him pitch before. why did he put him in a close game when we had Mota,Manzy,Koch and even bump nicely rested.

Another question why did he leave Dontrelle in the 8th and taking him out after the first guy got the hit.....why not let him get out of it, his pitch count was not that high and if he was going to take out Dontrelle why not do it in the top of the 8th and pinch hit for him knowing that the 2 best hitters for the D-back were coming up and they are both right handers(Bautista and Hillenbrand).

I dont understand it we had never seen this guy pitch before, atleast we know that Mota is good and manzy most of the times has his stuff and even bump has been pitching better latley and he is a ground ball pitcher maybe he could've induced the DP. i have more confidence in them then the new guy.

Just a question to see what everyone thought, would you put the new guy that we have not seen in a tied game in the 8th or go with the guys you know and that are rested. I know most of you are going to say that this is second guessing but honestly when that guy came in was saying why isn't Manzy or Mota in.

Mota is closing until Armando is back, that's why he wasn't called upon.

you know very well that Jack likes to throw guys right into the fire. whether they're players just called up from the minors, traded from other teams, whatever.

he likes to know what he's got & who he can count on right off the bat.

remember when he brought in Gracesqui in a huge spot the first night he was called up?

New team, new catcher, stadium you rarely play in, team you rarely play against, and a crap situation.

That's a lot of stuff to dump on the FNG in his first appearance IMO.

I think I would have called for the Bumpster in that spot with the game on the line. I was suprised when it was rudy.

Me too, but at least it gets the novelty pressure off him.

i understand that he has no fath in koch w/ runners on ok, i understand mota was closing ( but he des no need to see mota pitch because everyone knows what he has and im sure has seen Mota pitch before against us. Also i understand he likes to throw guys in the fire like Gacy (but Gracy was in the beginning of the season there is not room for error right now. But what about Manzy and Bump???

One bad pitch... Seanez has good stuff. He'll come through for us more often than not. Let's not forget that everyone was calling for the Front Office to pick up Bautista not to long ago. The guy can hit.

I dunno.... I'm not saying it was the right move, just that it's what Jack does.

However you can rest assured that if Jack did indeed send Bump or Manzy out there & they gave up a 2-run homer, there would be legions of posters screaming "WTF?!! Why did we trade for Seanez if we're not going to use him??? Why are we throwing the same crap out there???"

By what i read, your acting like Seanez is a rookie that just got called up.

Seanez is a 13 yrs veteran he made 1 mistake and paid for it, but i would of brought him in that situation.

Yea, at least he can throw strikes. The fact that most snake relievers usually don't has eluded fish strategists so far...

that its true ... Jack likes to throw guys right into the fire

I do not agree of the move ... at least pinch hit for willis and bring rudy to take care of the 8th

he has zero faith in Koch with runners on base.

gracias :|

I was really disappointed to see that ball clear the wall but he did bounce back nicely and I hope that he can be as succesfull as he was after the homer for the rest of the year.

Actually he's a veteran who sucked so much he's been in the minor leagues half his career and was just got called up.

I really don't like how McKeon uses newly acquired talent immediaely after they get off the plane. Because if they fail he's never going to give them another chance. Not everyone can perform miracles their first night out.
