June 23, 200323 yr if you almost spin out on a turn every time...maybe we shoudl take said turn slower. just a thought.
June 23, 200323 yr Gainesville is a nice little haven of progressive thought, but they need to fix up some of the infrastructure ie roads. Das Texan Posted on Jun 23 2003, 12:47 AM if you almost spin out on a turn every time...maybe we shoudl take said turn slower. just a thought. I like to live dangerously at every (excuse bad pun) turn.

June 23, 200323 yr well SUV's can flip over on good roads.... SUV's are going to be the end of civilization in some fashion eventually. Who the hell needs a Hummer in Dallas or any metropolitian area? Someone answer that for me?

June 23, 200323 yr the funniest thing is the auto companies.... i love how they love circumventing environmental standards. they classify SUV's as trucks why? To not be subject to environmental standards of autos. Dont you love it? How many SUV's have ever transported heavy loads?

Auto companies know this, so they lure you to thinking that in commercial, magazines or some form of advertising... and someone out there will believe it... I bet tons of people still think the world is flat...
June 23, 200323 yr I know. The majority of humans are stupid. Most Marlin fans are idiots. But then again... Most Spur fans are idiots. Is there a common thread? People need to educate themselves on so many things before they do them...it would make things so much better.
June 23, 200323 yr Author my SUV gets 26 mpg. It has good acceleration for the road, but I love the visibility.
June 23, 200323 yr I have a Honda CR-V. 4WD: 4-Speed Automatic Overdrive? ? 22 / 26? FWD: 4-Speed Automatic Overdrive 23 / 28 barely... I'll stay with my Saturn L300...
June 23, 200323 yr Author That's EPA, i have done 29 mpg in practice but my avg. is 26 mpg. By the way the EPA tests in all types of areas like mountains and hills, in florida we get better mileage b/c it is mostly level.
June 23, 200323 yr must be the newer models... i need to get up to speed on the models in the last couple of years.... although the Honda and any Toyota vehicle wouldnt surprise me to see them go over 20. The Hummer itself changing the subject slightly is riduclious. I saw a commercial for this new Volkswagon SUV....that commercial was taking every sterotype of SUV's and using them. Hint...they are not safer than sedans.....of course if everyone has an SUV...driving a sedan can put you in a very intimidating position with all those huge vehicles where people think they are invincible.
June 23, 200323 yr Author i live in a rural area that is to be developed a sa suburban area. The things is i need the higher clearance in order to get around easier.
