We are moving away from the base stealing if you haven't noticed yet. McKeon thinks stealing is not all you can live on. we would also rid ourselves of TH and Nunez which allows us to bring up some more bullpen help from the minors.

dude Texas had TH, they dont need more hitting really, they need pitching, they have no need for lee

Danny, the difference between Raffy and Lee is Palmeiro would out 500,000 extra butts in the seats, and would also give us an opprotunity to dump TH and Vladdy...

 

Plus, I would see us trading Lee after the season anyway, and Raffy is a FA... We wouldn't get anything extreamely special for Lee, and with Raffy you have to let him walk as a FA, but you get all that extra revenue from attendance...

 

This deal would only make sense...

The rangers would like nunez because he has performed before and he is a bullpen arm that would greatly improve them and they save money in the process. The marlins get a HOF and put people in the stands for wc run for only 1.15 mil.

Palmeiro has more HR, rbi, better slg, avg, ops, obp

 

and he is proven.... he is a consistent 100rbi man

 

lee is not

 

and... the biggest....Palmeiro has FAN APPEAL

you also get a draft pick for rafi's fa.

Derrek Lee would have a blast hitting in that park, and he would be a somewhat long-term solution for them at 1B...
