Plus, I would see us trading Lee after the season anyway, and Raffy is a FA... We wouldn't get anything extreamely special for Lee, and with Raffy you have to let him walk as a FA, but you get all that extra revenue from attendance...

Teixeira is an OF and 1B! Nunez would be the keystone of their bullpen. He has performed before and can again, we don't have the time to wait but the Rangers do.

Well, you only take on an extra what, $1.85 Mill? By getting a huge name in Raffy you would more that quadrouple that in gained attendance.

I have to flat out say you have NO idea what you are talking about on this subject. You are making yourself look foolish.

 

Come to south Florida. This is all sports fans. If you know sports, you've heard of Raffy, and if you hadn't, you do now because of the coverage he got for HR 500. Raffy would SELL OUT his first game in a Marlin uni, gaurenteed. Once he got those fans to the park, and the team won, they'll say, "That's a pretty damn good team, let's go again." Once the fans started to go out, it would get them to notice the team is winning. Once they notice the team is winning, word spreads.

 

The headline would most definately not say come see the viagra guy. That's an insult to every single one of his accomplishments. And he's gotta be the viagra guy for a reason. He must have done something great.
