Interesting idea, but I'd rather use Hooper or other contact hitter in the minors then Bellhorn who stries out too much. And again I think switcing Lee and Raffy is almost a wash save the star power.

1st - he cost less $$$

2nd - is younger

3rd - they both struggling but one had surguery one didnt so i rather get Bellhorn who can run..

Castillo is defintely slumping right now between is OBP and SB/CS ratio, but it seems he might have nagging injuries or the death of his friend is weighing heavy on him. The only trade I would find effective at the ASB would be to the Reds..

 

Penny + Castillo for OF Smitherman, 2B Lopez, and RF Jose Guillen. The Reds have long coveted both of these guys, but I'm not sure if they would part with Smitherman because he is ML ready. But then again the Reds have an incredibly crowded outfield. And that would in turn crowd our outfield so I'm not sure what to do unless Guillen can play 2B. :banghead
