BTW, Fish Fillet. Fort Myers is blackout from Marlins games on MLB Extra Innings, we are in market for the fish. Don't talk what you don't know.

Just Checked...THE ENTIRE STATE OF FLORIDA IS FLORIDA MARLINS TERRITORY EXCEPT THE TAMPA BAY TV MARKET. EVRYONE CAN HAVE A LOCAL AFFILIATE OF THE FLORIDA MARLINS TELEVISION NETWORK.

KEEP THE EMAILS COMING!

Yeah I got that e-mail back from brighthouse too. I know there are more people out there that want to see the fish in florida, that live in areas that don't carry the fish, so hopefully we can band together to make a difference. :thumbup

And if there are any others that live in florida and are without marlins baseball, let us know.

Here is another twist. I live in Tallahassee - and I cant see any Marlins games at all! I live 500 miles away, but can get Braves games...obviously they are on TBS. My only hope is Braves, Cubs or, gasp, ESPN to see Marlins. We dont have Fox Sports, in fact, we dont even get D-Rays (which is fine with me). So what did I do? I bought MLB Extra innings last year but the games were still blacked out. I bougth the Internet service from MLB and that is still blacked out! Basically, I am willing to spend the money but still cant get games! I have talked to several people on the approriate channels about this, and got no help. I dont know if there is any resolution along the horizon, but if we stick together here, we may get something done. Help me!!!!! :banghead

johnnylons. Tallahassee is Marlins and D-Rays Territory. We can help you, tell us the local station you would like to target and your cable company. Thank You for posting.

  • Author

I see that Tallahassee has no PAX affiliate, but do you have a local station like a WB or UPN, or even better an independent local station? Also, who is you cbale company so we can start emailing them immediately.

  • Author

Jonny, I don't know your situation, but Dish Network carries Fox Sports Net Florida and the Marlins games in Tallahassee. This is an option to anyone who lives in Florida and cannot get Fox Sports Net. If you can only have cable, then send us the name of the company and location so we can get their email address and send them some emails.

Let Me Explain How MLB.tv and MLB Extra Innings work.

-If you live in the State of Florida, you will be blackout from both of these for Marlins and Devil Rays games since you are in thier markets. These are out of market packages.

-If you live in Florida you must get Fox Sports Net to watch those games and have an affiliate of the Marlins Television Network in order to watch the PAX games.

Just an update on how the campaign is doing. We are doing very well. Several of our members recieved responses from WTVK and Bright House Networks. No response yet from WOPX. So lets keep the emails going to everyone, the more people we get to support the cause, the more people around the state of Florida that will be able to see and appreciate Marlins Baseball Telecasts. If anyone has a Cable Company or Local Station they would like to target as part of this campaign, please let us know by posting the cable co. or station. We will try to find a contact email and add them to this list as soon as possible.

Jonny, I have pretty much the exact situation. All I can do is wait till they play the braves, cubs or d-rays. It sucks.

Yes, In San Antonio you can recieve Marlins Baseball using MLB Extra Innings on DirecTV or inDemand Digital Cable Package.

DirecTV

http://www.directvsports.com

inDemand Cable Sports

http://www.indemand.com/moviesandevents/vi...d=4&prodId=9028

but i have to pay for that...and even then i only get the games on fox sports net. Time Warner Digital Cable has a free preview from July 17th to 21st I believe, so if you have Time Warner Digital Cable you can see those days' games free. Check the website for the schedules because you get more than the FSN games, you get any games that are on any team's RSN (FSN, Turner South). Check the website for the Marlins schedule, you get most of the games, whether it be the MArlins broadcast or the other teams.

If anyone can get Florida Sports Network to air here daily in PA, that would be a miracle!!!!!!!!

Even if you could get Fox Sports Net Florida to air outside of Florida, Marlins games would be blacked out side of Florida.

If someone in Florida bought the MLB extra innings package, the Marlins' games would be blacked out.

Rules Simply Stated...

In Florida: you must watch Marlins' games on FSN Florida and WPXM/WPXP.

Outside Florida: you must watch Marlins' games on MLB EXtra Innings.

An update on the Campaign, we have been able to get Bright House Networks to consider adding FSN Florida. the main issue between them is FSN wants to be on regular cable, but Bright House wants them to be on a seperate Sports Tier on digital cable. Money is also a factor, Bright House doesn't want to increase the rates by $1 a month to add FSN for every one of their subscribers! What an outrage! Keep on sending the e-mails!

The Panhandle has the marlins and I don't? :banghead :banghead :banghead :boo-woo :toilet This is why we need to continue the emails. Bright House Networks of Central Florida is the only major cable company in the state who has not picked up Fox Sports Net Florida (that we know of, if your cable company doesn't carry Fox Sports Net Florida and you live in the state of Florida please post a message telling us who the company is so we can email them too. You don't need to find an email for them, just tell us who they are, and I will find the email and add it to the list.)

I have digital cable so I wouldn't mind if they put it on digital cable. Man, I can feel it we're close.

FSN won't allow digital cable, they are a regular cbale network and want to be on regular cable there. Bright House says digital because they claim there are not enough customers interested in order to carry it on regular, lets show them that there are! :D :marlins :tv_happy
