Sunday's game now postponed

Featured Replies

the mets should move their game from thursday to monday so that we can do a DH vs. chicago, then make up the third game against them on sept. 20

I am sure everybody has thought about this...but, to make these games up in this fashion the Marlins will be playing nonstop for 30 games straight with 3 double headers within a week of each other.

Cubs on 9/10 (as proposed in Wrigley- if they do this, the Marlins should get Home field designation), the Expos on 9/14, and the Cubs at PPS on 9/20.

As if the team needed anything else to go against it this season. Oh, well - BRING IT ON !!!

If we play a double header on 9/20 we will have an enormous advantage because the Cubs would be in the middle of their longest road trip of the season and we would already be in a short homestand.

Look on the bright side we can sweep the Mets in seven!

haha, so true.

Just read on espn that if the Cubs play a double-header at Wrigley Filed they could make it fair by letting the Marlins bat second.

Anyone got any views on this.

Personally I think there are other options available, but it could happen.

Here is the article anyway ESPN.COM

Makes me so mad :banghead i had tickets for Sundays game!!. This damn Hurricane has ruined this whole week. :banghead

It's no where near fair. Just because we bat second, doesnt mean the fans are going to root for us. It's nothing compared to actually being at home. If they do this, its pure BS. Just because the damn cubs don't want to play on the 20th, or whenever it is, because of their schedule, doesnt mean we have to give them an advantage. This makes me hate them even more, which i thought was impossible. :mad :

It won't happen. The Fish won't agree to do it, they've made that clear.

That article is from Friday. Another news article on there speculates that a game will be made up at Wrigley.

Cubs President MacPhail and MLB's #2, Bob DuPay, have been saying that since early last week. The latest statement from today's Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel have Beinfest/Samson/Loria promising 81 games will be played at Pro Player Stadium this year.

If MacPhail gets his way... MLB would have to give special permission for the home tenant to bat first. They didn't do when the Royals or the Expos or Orioles had to move their games last year, or Mariners back in 1994.

And to think we could have gotten in atleast 2, maybe all 3, if the Cubs had flown down Thursday and been prepared to bunker down.

The Cubs are all a bunch of *******. Im tired of there crap, there so jelous of our team. All they need to do is go **** there goats.
