September 7, 200421 yr The Marlins will be the visiting team for each game. Wow. We better be the home team for both of the games of our double header at home then.

September 7, 200421 yr That doubleheader in Miami better start at 4, since us kids already lost Thursday's game, which was moved up 2 hours to 1pm.
September 7, 200421 yr Does anyone have a reason that we are not the home team for the game moved to wrigley. This is simply an outrage. Forget the fact that we have to play 30 games in 27 days, forget that we play 82 road games and 80 home games but we can't even bat last in the game that was relocated?!?!? In my opinion Hurricane Frances has removed any chance of the Marlins winning the wild card. Especially when you consider how hot we were before this interruption. Why wasn't the "moved" game rescheduled to after the season was over if necessary? Does anyone recall how games were handled after delays related to 9/11?

After 9/11 the games were replayed after the season. The World Series ended up being pushed into November.
September 7, 200421 yr Well let's look at the facts. 1) The Marlins have had recent sucess at Wrigley Field. 2) The Marlins have a 35-33 road record that needs improving. :marlins
September 7, 200421 yr thanks miami 15. "MLB's rules are that the home team always bats 2nd. No matter what the circumstance." MLB rules are also that teams play 81 road games and 81 home games.
September 7, 200421 yr so we are the home team in game 1 of the DH in Wrigley right? 545762[/snapback] According to all the articles I've seen, we're the visiting team in both.

September 7, 200421 yr They should play a day/night DH with our "home" game at Comiskey. All those Sox fans could come out and support the Fish...
September 7, 200421 yr just heard on ESPNEWS Cubs will be home team in both games, so the marlins will get ripped off of a home game.
September 7, 200421 yr I don't get how the Marlins get royally spanked in every single away.......The Cubs and Hendry got everything they wanted. WTF
September 7, 200421 yr Worse part of all this is that Mark Prior and the CUbs got their wa with the doubleheader on the 20th. It will be a conventional straight doubleheader, not a split day-nighter, meaning that of the 120,000+ who bought tickets to the Cubs series only half of them will be able to attend.

I'm sure the Tribune Company wanted a split day-night doubleheader this Friday at Wrigley and wanted to keep all the revenue too.
